There were many people holding signs and marching in circles on the councilman's lawn. The strange man leading them had a peach coloured bandana on with a blue arrow design. An overly fanatical man that had managed to get so many supporters in the last few days as people rallied behind his desires.

“Tell me again why they’re here?”

There was an awkward shuffle behind him.

Well, your term is coming to a close soon, and I-I think you’d earn big points with voters if you do this!” She explained, “Avatar Korra didn’t make the best first impression, so if you back the old Avatar and promise to update the statue… or at least change some of the murals in the museum underneath it… people will think you’re trying to remind Korra about how great Aang was! Then Korra will start saving citizens that the police fail to, and all of her accomplishments will be because of you! And-!” The woman suddenly stopped, catching her tongue in her teeth before hiding behind her clipboard, “I… I’ve said too much.”

“Not at all.” said Dregnar calmly, stepping back from the window to put a hand on her shoulder, “I enjoy those that can plan a few moves in advance. I think you’re right about the public’s fickleness, and if it takes a couple metalbenders adding a creampied woman or two to that old statue to get them all to love me then I’m sure the budget can stretch a little this year.”

She looked up at him with wide eyes behind her glasses, “Th-thank you, sir!”

“You have a long career ahead of you with a mind like that.” He said with a smile before returning to his desk. “Perhaps I’ll get Lin’s sister to update the statue. A little Beifong family reunion may get her to shape up the police **** again.”
