Missing pieces(Hayley POV)

Hayley yawns as she wanders into the kitchen in the morning. With half the group gone to the south, things have been quiet around the house. If she’s honest with herself, it’s actually rather boring without Greg, Naia, and Marin around. The others are wonderful, and they’re all happy together, but there’s a youthful energy missing.

Lylah smiles as the dwarven girl walks in. “You look bored, Hayley.”

Hayley chuckles. “You read my mind! It’s weird how different it is here with them gone. The four of us from the workshop were quite happy together, but now it feels like something is missing without Greg and the sisters.”

Lylah nods. “I know what you mean. I was mostly happy by myself for a long time, but once the sisters introduced me to Greg, and when we met you four…I couldn’t go back to that.”

Hayley smiles. “I can speak for the others and say we all really like you too, Lylah, and not just in bed!”

Lylah laughs. “I appreciate that! And the feeling is mutual.”

Hayley sighs. “I hope they’re doing ok, and I hope this new person fits in with us.”

Lylah nods. “I wouldn’t worry, Naia and Aisha are quite good at defending themselves, and I imagine that Marin is no slouch either. And the new girl…well, if she isn’t a good fit, Naia will handle that too!”

Hayley laughs. “I hadn’t thought about that. She’s a perfect test for anyone new!”

Lylah grins. “Exactly! Now, let’s go wake up Helja and Sanni, what do you say?”

Hayley giggles. “I’m thinking you’re just trying to get all of us in bed together!”

Lylah winks, walking towards the bedrooms.
