Missing Teacher

The morning bell rang to signal the beginning of homeroom... But Kawakami wasn't there yet.

"That's weird. Where's Ms. Kawakami?" One student asked.

"I dunno. Maybe she's sick?"

"Did she seem sick yesterday? She was going all out for the festival"

"Good point... Maybe she's still off cheerleading somewhere!"

The tone went from concerned whispers to giggles as people reminisced about the show.

But Ren was worried. He had instructed the girls to go home last night, and at the very least Ann had shown up today. It wasn't impossible to think Sadayo had gotten sick in between then and now. And he did have her doing a bit over the last day. Exhaustion maybe? He wasn't sure.
