What keeps you in the Infirmary?
Miss Wormwood gives you a series of tonics. Spend 5 XP for +1 Bravery.
After another long, tedious day, or night, or something, Miss Wormwood lets you back out into the light and takes you straight to the baths.
"We'll have to strengthen you up, Morgan," Miss Wormwood says as she strokes your body with a soapy sponge. "There's no two ways about it. House Leontes is asking much more of you than House Minerval did. Not in cleverness or delicacy or even tedium, but simply exertion."
She rinses you off and walks you into a warm bath for a soak. The green-scaled snakes she has in place of hair seem to be disputatious today, hissing and darting at one another.
For the next few days, Miss Wormwood gives you tonics and potions, working on your strength and endurance with a set of simple physical and magical exercises. Banishing, invoking, and banishing. Wrestling with her and being reminded how inhumanly strong her thin, wiry limbs are. Setting up and walking stairs.
But each night you rest alone, and rise alone. Could Fay not come? Or Golondrina? Even the Warden or the Tutor?
Spend 5 XP. Gain +1 BRAVERY as Miss Wormwood works you over with exercises and tonics.

Roll +Bravery(-1) (+0 Bravery, -1 CONSEQUENCE) to GET OUT OF THE INFIRMARY.

On a 7-9, you are on the mend. You may roll to ENCOUNTER the nurse or a well-wisher. If you still have a CONSEQUENCE you may choose to stay and roll again before the next chapter. Otherwise return to a new scene in your House, in class, the banquet hall, etc.
Choose whether to ENCOUNTER Fay, Barbara Torch, or Golondrina, or simply return to House Leontes.
