Mirre and Meer rescue you

You hear a commotion from down below. You look out of your window to see Shade fighting Mirre and Meer. You notice how their bellies are swollen slightly, it has been 5 months. They have somehow got hold of phalanx spears and large shields.

They have barding (horse armour) on their equine bodies made of a mixture of plate metal and chain mail. Accompanied by breastplates on their human torso.

The armour doesn't quite cover 4 large scars on Mirre's body one that starts low on the side of her human torso and moves up into the right side of her armour. The others are very much the same 3 long claw scars obscured by armour on her right flank.

The keep Shade at bay as he tries to slash at them and swing his large spiked tail. Meer stabs him in the wing and Mirre gits him in the arm. He tries to scramble away, blood dripping from his wounds.

Mirre and Meer have proven themselves worthy of claiming you. It was well documented that sometimes dragons got away. A few drops of blood or severed body part, tail, wing or talon, was normally enough to prove worthiness. Along with the fact, the princess was around and the dragon was not. There were fewer cases of not humans including centaurs defeating the dragon and claiming the princess. In such cases, the princess may if possible have children with their rescuer but the Firstborn human child be it from the rescuer or a surrogate father will automatically supplant any hybrids to the heir of the throne. But that is all in your future you hope.
