Middle.

You take the middle path.

After a while of walking you start to get nervous. Was the path always this long? Did I go the wrong way? Am I lost? These questions start to plague your mind, and you start to consider turning back. Your attention on this problem quickly gets distracted by something else, a noise. The noise sounds like the rustling of foliage and bushes nearby, and you quickly turn your head to see what it was.

Suddenly, your eyes widen in surprise as a hideous creature emerges. It is very insect-like in its appearance, but it is enormous, nearly as big as you are! It looks like some kind of giant beetle, with pincers on the front of its mouth and many tiny little teeth lined the middle of it. It looks at you with two beady little eyes as it skitters out on some long, spindly legs that all look quite strong. A set of large insect-like wings rest on the back of its dark, ebon carapace, and on the tail end of it a short, tube-like appendage rests compressed up against its body.

You stand there, horrified as you gaze apon this creature. It appears to be studying you closely, its mouth drooling some kind of strange goo, and its pincers opening and closing back and forth slowly. Thinking quickly, you glance around you, there is a large fallen branch nearby, as well as some hefty rocks you think you could use to fight it off, should it attack. Otherwise, you could just try to run away from it, or move slowly out of its sight.
