On the drive back to the Sanders’ house, John and now Mia’s new home, Mia seemed to be very quite and distracted. From time to time she would softly squeeze John’s hand and he would look at her smiling. He knew something was making her this way but he knew that he should just let it lay for right now. For the time to will come that she will tell you what might be upsetting her, so for now all he could do was try and make her as comfortable as possible with all that has gone on in the last twelve hours. She gave herself to him completely, told him of her true feelings, told his foster parents her feelings for him, and was now moving out of her parents house and in with the Sanders’ of whom he was staying with. It is a small wonder that she is as clam as she is, anyone else would have seen their world spinning like that and shouted for it to stop so that they could catch up.
As the three of them pulled up to the house she seemed to return to her normal self, but John could see deeper into her mind, heart, and soul. He knew that she was only putting on this act so that the others didn’t think there was anything wrong. He looked at her with a knowing look and she knew at that moment that he could see right throw her act and she put a finger over her lip. He nodded his understanding and made an effort not to let it show that he knew something was upsetting her.
Chris got out of the van first followed shortly by Mia and John. They started to move Mia’s things into the living room for right now until they could decide where it was that she was going to stay. As John brought the last box in Chris motioned for them to sit down, “Now that we have Mia’s stuff in the house at lest now we can talk about where she will be staying.” At this point Kate walks in with Beth and Cassie not far behind.
“Welcome back Dear, John, and Mia,” She says with a sweet voice. “I just got done talking to the girls about what is going on and thought that we should all talk about this as one big family.” Kate smiles as she hugs Chris while speaking.
Chris softly kissed Kate’s cheek saying, “Wonderful idea My Love, so what do you all think? Do either of you girls want to share a room? Does she stay in John’s room? Or do we convert the basement into an apartment where she may stay alone or with John and they share a room until its ready?”
Kate smiled, “Those are some good ideas Dear, I am sure that we can all come to an agreement about this with those type of options. So lets just put it up to a vote and whatever option gets the most votes wins. If there is a tie we will let Mia make the final say on the matter, seeing as she is the one that is going to have to live with what is decided. Is this ok with everyone?”
Beth had a strange look on her face but she nodded who was followed shortly by Cassie then John and lastly Mia. Chris smiled, “Okay then it is decided that we will put it to a vote. So what does everyone vote?”
