Basement apartment

Chris smiled, “Okay then it is decided that we will put it to a vote. So what does everyone vote?”

This toke some time but in the end Beth voted that Mia stay with Cassie, Cassie voted the same as Beth, Kate voted for the basement apartment because the space was really unused and it would be more privet for Mia, Chris voted that she stays in the same room as John, while Mia and John voted the same as Kate saying that he thought she would be more comfortable that way. So in the end it was decided that she was going to have an apartment in the basement but would stay with John for now until it was ready.

Kate stood up at this point and said, “Ok now that it is decided lets let them get the room all set up while I make some lunch, Mia, John, I will bring the food up when it is ready. The rest of you, would you mind helping Mia and John move she stuff upstairs.” She said the last sentence more as a statement of fact rather then asking.

In quick order all of Mia’s things are in the room just waiting to be unpacked, the others left the room leaving Mia and John alone in there to get the room set up for the two of them. John quickly made some closet space and space in a drawer for underwear and socks. While he was doing this Mia set up some of her stuff in the room like her stuff animals, her posters, and some pictures frames she brought from her house. When John was done making space for her clothes Mia and him switch tasks, he toke stuff out of boxes and she put her clothes away.

By the time the clothes where put away lunch was ready and the two sat in the room eating their first meal together as a couple. Mia was the first one to talk, “Not much left to unpack now, my mother gave me a few things that I think should stay in the boxes for now so I will put them away in the closet for now. After that I think we are done, unless you can think of anything we have forgotten to do.” She said with a soft and contented smile on her face.

John looked into her eyes and said, “As a matter of fact we have, we have not talked about what was upsetting you earlier that you didn’t want the others to know about. I want us to be able to share everything from now on, so please tell me what was upsetting you.”

Mia looked back into his eyes and softly sighed, “I am sure that Chris and Kate know what we did last night, just as I am sure that Cassie has a clue to what we did. But with us sharing this room it is bound to get out, I don’t mind that fact, because if I didn’t love you I wouldn’t do it. I just don’t want to be in the middle of something and get interrupted by someone just walking in.”

John looked at her for a second then started to laugh, “Mia my heart, while you where with your mother packing your stuff up Chris gave me this.” He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign. “So I don’t really think that will be a problem, but we do have to try and keep in mind that there are other people here so we have to make sure that anything we do that might need this sign doesn’t disturb them.”

Mia laughs when you pull out the sign, “Well your right, almost as bad as hearing your parents going at it all night long. So we will have to keep it down, but the only thing that matters to me right now is that we will be together. I could not ask for anything more because you are my heart.”

The two continue to talk mushy stuff to each other until lunch was finished after which John toke the dishes downstairs while Mia put away the boxes with the mystery stuff from her mother away in the closet. When John returned to the room he found the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door and his face broke out with a big smile as he slipped into the room. He slowly looks around the room for Mia and he sees her sitting at the desk slowly flipping through a book. He slowly walked over to see what she was reading and was shocked at what he saw.
