"So what are you looking for?" Elizabeth asked Linda.
"I don't know...but not those backwards redneck sumbitches," Linda said, sighing heavily. "I think your man is awesome."
"And my man is mine," Elizabeth retorted, a flare of jealousy emerging before she cooled. "So a Black man?"
"Maybe," Linda said, looking at the busy street. She should have to come to town more often, growing up. She sipped her tea, eating a bite of her burger. "Probably. I mean, I like white guys too okay, but more for their ..."
"Money," Elizabeth said, finishing the sentence. Linda flushed and nodded.
"There are some men that like that," Elizabeth said, choosing her words carefully. "The benefits of a wife, and enjoy watching her with Black men."
"Really?" Linda asked, her face screwing up in confusion, and a fresh heat emerging between her thighs.
"Yes," Elizabeth said. "My ex-husband was one of them. But first, maybe let's go out to the wrong side of town."
