Meeting and moving forward

You gather everyone for a meeting, even coaxing Kaeli away from Victoria for a while. Rahu joins you as well, along with Lira. The room is crowded, but all eyes are on you as you explain your encounter with Poena. When you finish, there’s silence for a minute, as everyone processes what you’ve told them. Even Rahu is speechless.

Of course, there’s one person who is irrepressible and vocal. Alex, brushing her black and orange hair back, giggles and winks at you. “Sooooo…you gonna bring her to bed?”

You chuckle, shaking your head. “I’m not going to try to sleep with the unimaginably powerful entity that created the universe, no.”

Alex shrugs. “Why not? You said she’s hot!”

Rahu interrupts before you can answer. “All that aside, I don’t think this changes much, really. Beyond knowing that there’s an outside force watching, it seems like our goal is still the same.”

You nod. “Niran has to go. I agree. The fact that it’s a test or a game or something doesn’t change much.”

Melora sighs. “I know it’s strange for a seer to feel this way, but it feels odd to be treated like a chess piece.”

Nadia smiles and pats Melora’s hand. “Not odd at all. But at least this Poena seems rather hands off.”

Alex grins. “But what if hands on is more fun?”

You roll your eyes. “Alex, your transformation somehow made you MORE horny.”

She winks at you. “I’m a black hole! Let me suck on you…”

Everyone laughs, and you shake your head. “Maybe later. For now, we have things to do. Any ideas when Victoria will wake, Rahu?”

He shakes his head. “No. But her mind is healing now, I can feel it.”

Cassie leans forward. “Could I help, or is healing magic not useful here?”

Kaeli answers instead. “You can try it, it couldn’t hurt.”

The chameleon girl smiles and nods. Sarah speaks up. “I suppose I’ll poke at the armor some more, see if I can figure out what is happening.”

Always with the poking, but never satisfying me. I see how it is.

You chuckle, and Rahu nods. “I can aid her. Perhaps I can figure out your problem. If that’s all right with you.”

You nod. “Of course. Go ahead. As for the rest of us, we should train and plan. I want to move quickly, once Victoria is well. But how about we relax for tonight. It’s been quite the day.”

You see Sarah and Nadia share a glance, and they both grin. Everyone else seems to agree to your idea, and soon the meeting breaks up. The two conspirators whisper to each other, and Sarah winks at you as she walks away.

Nadia approaches, and places a hand on your arm. “So…you’re free for a bit, then?”

You chuckle. “I am, actually. Why do you ask?”

The faerie smiles at you. “Well, I was feeling a bit left out lately, and I was hoping for some private attention…”

You laugh. “I think that can be arranged!”

There’s a glint of amusement in her eyes as she giggles, taking your hand.
