Meeting The Neighbours... again

I made sure to put on something nice and just before dinner time we went over to our new neighbour's house.

"Hello again, I hope you're both hungry, I've cooked us something tasty. I guarantee you'll love it." Barbara said.

I won't lie, I was kind of looking forward to it at this point. She seemed like the kind of woman who really knew how to cook for some reason. My mom has no idea how to cook anything so it'd be a nice change.

Their house was exactly how you'd imagine it. Everything was still very clean but there were a few bits and pieces scattered around, boxes still to be unpacked, empty tables yet to be adorned by coasters, the beginnings of turning a house into a home.

I saw a young woman in a family picture who I assumed to be the daughter of the family. I was really quite looking forward to meeting her, maybe we could be friends, I thought. Although her pervy brother might be an issue.

"Sarah come here for a second." I heard my mother calling for me. I put the picture down and went to see what this was about.

"Yeah, mom?"

"Barbara here wanted to show you something."
