Meeting Ashe for Lunch

After leaving The Smelting Pot you actually end up running into Ashe on your walk through the Syndicate as you continued to do little errands you wanted to accomplish before you left. It wasn't long before she convinced you to go grab some lunch at the Sizzling Seared. Looking at the sun, which is now high in the sky you figure the morning really flew by with all the things you had to do and you haven't ate since Lexie brought you that breakfast early in the morning so you figured a quick meal with Ashe wouldn't hurt, plus you could figure out how she's fairing today after her rough night of booze.

The two of you walk side by side into the Sizzling Seared, sitting down across from each other at a two person table, you both order the food you want, Pork and Beans for you, Chicken for Ashe. You both decide just to order water, once again, neither of you really feeling like drinking booze so early in the day.

"Ready for tomorrow?" you start.

"Of course." Ashe replies "Just another war, just another battle, just another winning moment." she smiles.

"Just so you know...remember, Lexie is staying in the Syndicate. You're going to be my only High Commander during this battle. I'll..."

"I've got this, Darien." she cuts you off with her confident voice "I've been a high commander for a handful of years now, before Luna, during Luna and after Luna..." she pauses, looking at you "Sorry, I just..."

"It's okay." you reply "It's why I trust you. You're the best Sunrider...the most experienced Sunrider in all of the lands." you nod up and down "I'm grateful to have you in my service."

"Thanks Darien. I appreciate your confidence. I won't let you down." she nods her head at you.

"Soooo...." you begin "Rough night?" you poke fun..

She just groans out slightly "Tell me about it...I just woke up about thirty minutes ago. I can't really remember much after I left the Sicilian Tavern..."

"Hah, you and me both." you smile.

"Although, waking up in your bed this morning, my body was so damn sore. You really did a number on me."

You cock your head to the side, trying to recall. "Umm..." you start, "Lexie told me that I never showed up at my chambers..." you stay confused "So I have no idea what you're talking about?"

"Oh...you mean..." she shifts her body in the chair "I just thought...So it was Hawk?" she raises her eyebrow.

"No...wasn't Hawk, Hawk was with me, I brought him to The Pi..err...we passed out." you straighten yourself out.

"So who the fuck came to your chambers?" Ashe questions you "I'll be honest, my..." her hand reaches down and slightly massages just above her intimate area, on her pubic region. "My, yeah, well it is sore and tender today...almost like I experienced many orgasms."

"Ashe, as much as I would like to take credit...I woke up in Lexie's villa..." you scratch the side of your head "So it wasn't me! When I woke up, Lexie told me she stayed with you until you passed out, then she came looking for me."

"So..." Ashe is slightly confused "Did Lexie...did Lexie do this to my body?" she questions "Did Lexie make my body feel this good?" she shivers slightly "Is she the reason my lower half is so tender and sensitive today?"

You just shrug at your High Commander "Maybe?" you question "Probably have to ask her." you say "I have no clue what I did last night...after I left the Tavern...I uhh" starting to remember your night hanging Hawk up in The Pit "After the Tavern I....hung out with Silvius and Felix...and then I went to Lexie's villa." you smile cautiously.

"Damn...Lexie must have..." she shakes her head, breaking the thought "Fucking Lexie." she smiles, looking at you. "So, about Lexie..."

"Huh, what about her?"

"I can't believe you knocked her up!" she replies, a slight anger in her voice.

"Ashe...I, uhh"

"She was my friend, my High Commander, my ally!" Ashe reaches her hand over the table, playfully slapping the back of your hand "And you did this to her!"

"Ashe..." you start.

"I can't believe...I just can't believe you." she rolls her eyes, feigning anger "Right before war you have to go ahead and knock up one of your high commanders." she starts "You couldn't just knock up some random whore off the street? You had to knock up one of our better warriors? You had to knock up my friend? My ally? My High Commander? How could you!"

"Ashe, I just...I...It was a special..."

"I'm fucking with you." she replies "If I didn't know any better I swear I just saw your balls disappear" she laughs, causing you to frown at her "Anyway, I heard the stories...how much you really care for her. How much she really cares for you." she nods her head "But Darien..."

"Yeah?" you reply.

"If you break her heart. If you ignore her. If you don't help her raise that child of yours..." her eyes squint, glaring at you "I will rip your fucking cock off. Got it?"

Your eyes go wide, looking at Ashe.

"Don't you dare fucking try me."

"Ashe, I would never..." unsure if she's telling the truth or not "I don't...I mean, I won't." you nod your head "I care about Lexie, so much. I care about this child. I will do whatever is needed from me to help her and help this child."

"Good." her voice is stern "Because if you don't..." she brings her hand up to her throat, slicing her finger across her throat "I'll fucking slit your throat." her eyes anger towards you.

You can only swallow hard as you look at this petite, fiery red headed high commander of yours. You care for Ashe very much, but good lord, as much as you care for her, every little ounce of you is just as scared because you feel like if you screw up just a tiny bit, Ashe is going to kill you.

"Now, enough about that!" she smiles "Day is getting closer and closer to the end, almost time for war!" her head pivots up and down.

The two of you continue to eat your lunch and drink your water. Both of you continue to talk about your night, the Sunriders, the upcoming war and even when you don't want to, you continue bring up a certain Sunrider named Lexie.

"So, Ashe, I was wondering..."

"What's up?" she replies.

"I could use your help tonight..." you begin "Getting ready...talking to my Sunriders, preparing my battle preparation speech...and..." you pause.

"Darien, let me know, I'm here for you!" she replies ecstatically. "Although...if you ask for something idiotic...I'll ignore you." her head shakes.

You lean forward, whispering your thoughts into Ashe's ear. She beams a huge smile at you, nodding her head. "I can do that!!" she smiles "But I swear to the Sun Lord..." she grabs your bicep "if you die at Rathkin..." her head shakes back and forth "I will piss on your grave and curse your soul indefinitely."

"Wow, remind me not to fuck with you, Ashe." you feign surrender "You have my word."

"Damn, straight I better have your word" she nods her head, finishing her water, pushing her empty plate to the middle of the table "Now get outta here, finish your shit for the day, I'll figure out the rest." she leans back in her chair, staring at you, looking into you"I'll see you soon, at the Training Grounds." her hand brushes a strand of hair behind her ear "Your speech better not suck ass." she sticks her tongue out, joking with your incoming dilemma "And Darien..." she pauses.

"Yeah?"

Ashe just looks at you face, giving you a half smile, her head nodding up and down. She doesn't say anything as she continues to smile at you, her eyes looking into yours, showing their happiness.

"Ashe..."

"I've got this, Darien! You can count on me." her hand rests on your bicep, casually caressing your arm before she backs away, stands up and exits the Sizzling Seared. "See you soon!" she says over her shoulder as she exits the restaurant.
