Measurements for Molly's new car seat

You reach into your pocket and get out Emily's business card. "Actually, Emily sent us here and said you could help make a custom car seat for Molly." You say as you hand him Emily's card.

"Ah, right you are. She actually called ahead and let us know you might be coming. Gave me your descriptions and the whole works, but there's no way I'd mistake your lovely bee girl over there. Come on, we can get started for you right away. We always appreciate AWIO's business." Alex says as he begins leading you to a room that reads, "Metrology".

"We've got state of the art equipment that'll measure your beauty's every inch. So first thing's first, we'll be taking some measurements if that's okay with you, Miss Molly. The procedure is simple, you'll put on these glasses and go stand in the circle. Some mechanical arms will come down and measure you by laser beam. We'll take three measurements to generate the computer model. Won't hurt a bit. After that, we'll take some more. Alex says as he looks at Molly with three pairs of glasses in one hand, and gestures over to the circle on the ground.

"Thank you Alex. That means a lot to us that Molly can sit safely in the car." You say as you take the glasses Alex offers you while Molly does the same, taking up her spot in the circle.

"Thiz good?" Molly asks.

"Yep. Now you just hold real still. We'll be measuring you from the shoulders down. Don't look at the laser." Alex says as he heads over to the computer and motions for you to do the same.

You follow as he presses some buttons on an oversized keyboard. Three mechanical arms move down from the ceiling and surround Molly in all directions as beams of light shine on Molly's body. Slowly, they rotate around and traverse her length, up and down, three times.

'"Now open up your legs slightly, you'll want to stand slightly more than shoulders apart. Might be a bit uncomfortable but we'll be done with this one soon." Alex says as he observes Molly take the posture and another scan occurs.

You spend the rest of the day there as Molly gets measured, in various positions, with motion capture, sitting in chairs, and measuring your car. Finally, after what seems like forever, Alex speaks up.

"Okay, I got good news and bad news. Good news is, we're finally done. Sorry we have to take so many measurements, but we guarantee our product will be absolutely perfect. Also you don't have to worry about us sharing this with nobody. As a monster myself, I know that I sure don't want my measurements just out there for anyone. We'll give you a copy of everything on DVD and delete 'em when we're done." Alex says, comforting your thoughts before you had questions. "Bad news is we'll need your car 'till Monday afternoon to make the necessary adjustments to your car as well as manufacture and install your seat. Sound like a plan?"
