Chapter 3

What’s my name?
Meashuri
This one apologizes, for she can no longer speak as the Imperials do. It is too tiring to her.
The Nord stared at this one for a moment. "Captain. What should we do? She's not on the list."
The officer, which the Nord said was a captain, grunted. "Forget the list. She goes to the block."
"By your orders, Captain,” the Nord said. “Follow the Captain, prisoner."
"Ulfric Stormcloak,” Tullius said, which this one suspect was only partly to Ulfric himself, as the Imperial turned away from the gagged one, and let his eyes wander through the crowd of other humans. “Some here in Helgen call you a hero. But a hero doesn't use a power like The Voice to **** his king and usurp his throne."
Ulfric, still gagged, grunted like an angry Senche-raht. He did not even have to speak, for his eyes looked at Tullius as if he was prey, and he was ready to pounce.
"You started this war,” Tullius continued. “Plunged Skyrim into chaos, and now the Empire is going to put you down, and restore the peace."
Then, a cold wind blew through this one’s whiskers, and she heard a deep growling from far away.
The Nord shivered, for he had no fur. "What was that?"
Tullius did not mind the cold, even though he is an Imperial. "It's nothing. Carry on."
"Yes, General Tullius.” The captain nodded, and called an Imperial female in robes, who was smarter than the other ones, for she was hiding from the cold in a tower. “Give them their last rites."
The smart one then had to follow the order, so she stepped into the cold, spread her arms, and turned her face towards the sun. "As we commend your souls to Aetherius, blessings of the Eight Divines upon you, for you are the salt and earth of Nirn, our beloved..."
A stormcloak then made a nose-noise and stepped towards the block. "For the love of Talos, shut up and let's get this over with."
The smart one was surprised that he wanted to die, so she said: "As you wish."
“Come on,” the one who wanted to die continued, having reached the chopping block. He was already on his knees. “I haven't got all morning. My ancestors are smiling at me, Imperials. Can you say the same?"
Tullius raised an eyebrow because he was also surprised and nodded towards the executioner, who then cut the nose-noise’s head off. Then a woman, who was probably nose-noise’s mate, ran forward.
“You Imperial bastards,” she screamed, but she stopped screaming when an Imperial punched her. The people of the town enjoyed that.
"As fearless in **** as he was in life," someone said, which this one thought was odd, since no one could ask the dead one if he was scared.
“Next,” the captain shouted, and then this one heard another odd noise on the wind.
"There it is again,” the cold Nord said. “Did you hear that?"
"I said, next prisoner," the captain said. “You, the cat.”
"I’m sorry girl,” the Nord said. “To the block. Nice and easy."
This one was sad that she had to end her life there. She had hoped to gaze at Jode and Jone one last time, but it was the middle of the day, so they were not visible. This one sighed as she dropped to her knees before the chopping block, which was covered in blood. That would please Sangiin, this one thought, for a Khajiit to die in the blood of another.
For a third time, this one heard a mighty roar. For a moment, this one thought she had eaten sacred sugar and forgotten about it. Then - as this one saw what it was - she believed it was Alkosh coming to deliver her.
Tullius, who had apparently never heard of Alkosh, started shouting. “What in Oblivion is that?”
“Sentries,” the captain screamed. “What do you see?”
This one heard more screaming, but she is sure the executioner was deaf, because he raised the axe like everything was quiet. Just before he could kill this one however, the dark creature crashed down onto the tower, and she saw that it did not look much like a cat, which made her think it was probably not Alkosh after all. The gusts it caused made the clumsy executioner stumble. Then, before he could get up, the creature opened its maw. The last thing this one saw was the executioner being ripped to pieces like grains of sand, before everything went black.
Who woke me up?
