Maybe that was less "taunt", and more "coping mechanism" earlier.....

You start to swing your body around to the side, but before you can even attempt to push it back the **** of it already overwhelms you. Your feet sleep out from underneath you, and you're knocked down onto your bum, even though the monster was just using one arm. Aw, man....

You rub your sore tushie and the monster snarls down at you. Before it's able to pull that arm back and swing at you again though, a crossbow bolt whizzes over from the hut and goes tink off of the monster's chitinous flank. You follow the direction it came from and see Jace's eyes and nose peeking over from the hut's window. Unluckily, the monster sees this too, and sprints off towards him. A gravel dust cloud is kicked up into your face as it leaves, which you have to cough and wave away.

Okay, that went pretty sub-par, all things considered.

To the side, there's a loud CLANG as Cameron connects with a flush backhand of his shield to the monster's head, stunning it and scaring it all in one. You turn and watch as the simulated monster shakes its head a few times as if something's gone loose inside, before Cameron connects with another bladed shield punch that sends it sprawled over to the ground. It quickly scrambles up to its feet, kicking out gravel underneath it, and darts off at a pace far too rapid to keep up with back the way it came towards the bridge.

"That was..... a lot." He says, stepping over to help you up to your feet. He's clearly pretty exhausted from how intense his fight just was.

You're feeling a bit down about your own fight, so you don't reply. You dig your hand through your jingling pocket of loose impact bullets and load up to full capacity again, looking between the hut and the bridge where both of the remaining monsters are. With a bit of a sighing breath, Cameron starts off jogging towards Jace in the hut.

Jace doesn't have any close up weapons as far as you know, so he might be in a lot of trouble even though the monster just has one arm. But also, to be fair, Cameron is on his way to help.

On the bridge, Delilah and the monster are both yet to land a proper hit -- they keep deflecting each others' scythes and sickles, and the attacks that aren't deflected are either dodged by an impressively acrobatic Delilah or land harmlessly onto the monster's chitin. That battle looks more like it'll be down to whoever lands the first proper hit, but also, {if@ StaffCombat == True}you saw with the staff-based class how Delilah's pretty good in these sorts of situations{else}Delilah can be kind of mean to you{endif}. The monster Cameron was just facing is on its way towards Delilah as well though, and even though it's not to the bridge yet it will be very soon. That will probably complicate things for her.

In any case, you don't have any time to mope! You've taken some knocks, but now you need to get back out there and into the thick of it, for your class' sake! That's the spirit of a Warrior.
