Maybe she's still home

You scan the view to orient yourself to the direction you need to go in. It's still early morning - the sun's rays have barely crept over the distant horizon. All the homes in town are bathed in the early light, and cast long shadows across eachother in turn. It's a fairly sizeable settlement, and from your vantagepoint, within the center of town, you can barely make out the walls and guardtowers in the distance, and the hills beyond them. The scene exudes an aura of peacefulness, though you're sure you'll be able to stir up some trouble over the course of the day. You squint, and spot the little house beyond the walls, where the outskirts of town start transitioning into the orchards and grainfields.

You dart across town, out through the nearest gatehouse and up the path towards Sayza's place. As you approach you take care not to set off any potential traps she might have lain. It wouldn't surprise you if she's beefed up her security after your encounter yesterday. Upon further thought, you figure that while moving at this speed you'd probably easily be able to dodge any crossbow bolts fired your way. Gunshots might be a touch more difficult however, so best be careful in case Sayza really upgraded her traps.

You dextrously slink towards the house, managing to get through one of the windows and narrowly avoiding setting off a trapwire. Inside you find a set of extra crossbows pointed at all the entrypoints, but Sayza isn't there. You glance over at her bed: the bed covers have clearly been moved about, so she must have been here during the night at least{if Sayza in the stocks = true}, having either escaped or been set free from the stocks before the night{endif}. Still, that means she could've left town early in the morning.

You check around the room. Her clothes are still in the closet, and a chest with a little bit of loot from pickpocketting. It would seem unlikely she left and town left her belongings behind, so she's probably somewhere in the city.

You leave the house, careful not to set off the traps on your way out. For fun and giggles, you take everything out of Sayza's wardrobe and hide it in the bushes at the back of the building. You're amused at the thought of Sayza returning home to notice her clothes are missing, and realizing even her additional traps couldn't stop you.
