"Go home for now. I'll find our first lead and interrogate her, and then I'll rendevouz at your place. If we're lucky Sayza has the amulet; that'd save me a lot of hassle."

"You're really going to make me walk down the street like this, again?"

"Yes, you're very practiced at it."

You watch her give you a stink-eye, and feel the need to defend yourself: "..Stop pouting, It's still early and if you leave now noone will be out yet. Plus I can't be doing chores for you right now, I'm about to be busy looking for Sayza."

"Why can't you wait for me so I can come along?"

You shrug. "To be honest I don't want to have to carry you around everywhere. I'll be back in a zip don't you worry." You follow this up with a sheepish grin: "besides, I'd like to ply my trade in peace."

Evellyn glowers. "Oh for heaven's sake, your trade? More like perversion. At best it's your hobby."

"That wounds my professional pride."

Evellyn replies with a frown, petulantly pulls the covers tight, and then spins around and leaves without saying another word. You hop up to the roof of the building, watching her leave the tavern and run as stealthily as she can in the direction of her mansion not much further down the street. You chuckle at her embarrassment, and then get moving; you have a thief to find.
