Maybe later, meet up with Sophia

You bring yourself back to reality again. There will be plenty of time for that later. For now, time to meet your friend. You hop into the shower, clean up, and get dressed for a night out.

It's a warm night out. The campus bar is a short walk away, and it doesn't take you long to make it there and find Sophia. She waves you to a booth, and after ordering a drink you sit down and catch up. Talking with Sophia comes naturally to you; you've been friends ever since first year and have become pretty close. You've been mistaken for a couple a few times, but both of you insist that you're simply good friends. You talk and laugh about upcoming exams, which teachers you both hate, plans for the summer, and anything else on your mind as the drinks keep pouring.

After a short break in the conversation, Sophia takes a long sip from her drink before turning back to you. "Man, I'm surprised." You shoot a questioning look at her and she continues. "That article from the other day? The one about the nano thing?" Your heart skips a beat. You sip your drink in silence. "Honestly, I originally dismissed it as the usual hype around new technology, but I keep thinking about it. Does it actually work? What would it feel like, y'know?" You don't reply, assuming the question to be rhetorical. She gives you a look. "You're right, it's stupid. Sorry I brought it up, I don't know why it's on my mind. Probably just getting drunk." She blushes slightly and looks away.
