Math, Again

I walk up the front gates of school and see Myla and Hino waiting.

"Hey Eric, glad you made it today." Myla says walking up to me.

"Hey Myla, yeah I had a lot to think about, but." I look around to make sure nobody will overhear. "I did manage to get stronger and learn an amazing skill."

"Oh?" Says Hino. "What is it?"

"Sorry not telling. I need to ask your parents about one of them, well all of them." I reply. Causing Hino to make a 'tsk' noise. "Anyway, are we still meeting after school?"

"Yes, and does that mean you've decided?" Myla asks and I nod. "What's your answer?"

"Sorry I'm keeping it a surprise." I taunt. The bell rings indicating that classes will start in five minutes. "Well time to go!" I walk away with a smile and they follow. We split up inside agreeing to meet at the gates. I go to my math class and I sit in the back pretending to sleep while Meditating again. I hear Ms. Robbins talking before tuning her out. This time want to expand on what Bergeth said. That I have no limit. That most people can only use one school of magic, while I can use seemingly all of them. So now I'm thinking of something new. I have no goal in mind I just start thinking of something new. Anything that I'venever seen before. Once my phone goes off 5 minutes before class ends I open my notification disappointed at first, seeing only one.

New Mastery: Darkness

Darkness is a school of magic. It allows you to control and manipulate darkness and shadows. This school of darkness was created by Eric Steele. Learn Y/N.

I nearly jump in my seat reading it. I created a new school of magic! Me? Holy shit! Yes accept! I get two new notifications and open them.

New Skill: Dark Spear Lvl 1

The caster creates a dark projectile and launches it at the target. The spear can pierce weak armor and flesh. It deals 50% of (STR + INT). Cost: 50.

New Skill: Dark Claws Lvl 1

Dark Claws wraps darkness around the casters hands. The darkness turns you fingers to sharp claws and adds 30% damage to unarmed attacks. Increases armor for your hands by 10% of your Intelligence. Increases Strength by 20% of your Intelligence. MP Cost: 50

The bell rings and I leave class happy. I walk to my history class. Once in I go up to the teacher, Mr. Fields.

"Excuse me Mr. Fields." I say getting his attention.

"Ah, Eric glad your here. Mind filling me in on why you weren't here yesterday?"

"Yes, I'm sorry one of my relatives is staying with me for a while and she started puking yesterday. She overreacted a bit, she's only got a fever now, but I had to leave early to help her and forgot to tell the office." I say telling him the lie I came up with and using Persuade just in case.

"Hmm. Okay just make sure to let the office know next time." I nod and go to my seat. The bell rings and Mr. Fields starts the class. He starts teaching us about the ending of world war two. I tune him out and start thinking. This new Darkness School looks great. However the mana cost worries me. If these are the basic then what will the high ones cost? I already need 1000 to Summon Bergeth. I need to find a way to increase my max MP. The easiest way would be to increase Intelligence but that's going to take a while. If I add all my stat points into it I'll only gain 80 more max MP. If only I had more items like my ring, it adds 15 max MP. That's it! I'm such an idiot. I've been using Craft to only make armor, and a cloth dagger. But I should create accessories! I can see three outcomes so I'll know if it's good. Next class is free period for me since I've finished my metalworking project so I'll go back to the library and make accessories with Craft. I start smiling thinking of what I'll make.
