Background:

Marihem was created to be an angel of destruction, one tasked with dealing out fear and punishment for any that disobey the Celestial Hosts. She answered only to the Celestial Generals. Though from her actions she came to be closely aligned with the Celestial General Mika Hail, and was known as his right hand.

She was feared by many of the Celestials, due to her shear pleasure she took in causing **** and destruction. Especially considering she carried the Ebon Blade, a dagger that when used, it’s cuts could not heal for a thousand years. She relished the screams of those she hunted, forcing them to beg for mercy, and then for **** before she ended their immortal lives.

When the rebellion was first forming, Mika Hail tasked her with killing or capturing the Celestial General Helel as he met with the Celestial General Belphegor to recruit him. So as the two relaxed and were deep in conversation, Marihem crashed through a window, dagger drawn and lunged at Helel. Belphegor though reacted quickly seizing the woman’s wrist, and ordering Helel to flee. Belphegor **** the woman to drop her enchanted dagger, and warned her that his home was off limits to their foolhardy political intrigue. Then he gave her a message to deliver back to her master and the rest of the Celestial Host. Belphegor would not be joining the rebels, however he would also not be joining the Celestial Host to quell the rebellion. This was the instance that most point to as the start of the Schism of the Celestials.

During the war Marihem was responsible for the deaths of many Celestial rebels, and even on a rare occasion was teamed up with Resheph, before his defection. Her brutally became the stuff of legend, as she was known to dance in the rain of her foe’s blood on the battlefield, earning her the names, The Red **** and the Angel of Mayhem.

When the Great Schism finally came to a close and the Celestial realms were divided between the Celestials and half the realms disconnected and dubbed Infernal, Mika and the remaining Generals confronted Belphegor. With Marihem at his side, Mika accused Belphegor of cowardice and his neutrality was an act of treason. The gathered generals attacked and stripped their ally of his Celestial status and rank, branding him a demon. Then in a final act of humiliation they allowed Marihem to strike the blow that cast Belphegor from the Celestial Realm and into the Mortal Realm severely injured.

The Celestial Host then decided that they were done with the demons of the Schism and would return to focus on their own Celestial issues. Marihem though was unhappy as she had failed to deliver a fatal blow to Belphegor, and she vowed to someday finish him.

Sometime later she learned that Belphegor had recovered and was living with Eisheth Zenunim in the mortal realm. She could not allow this sin of that man who stained her honor being allowed to not only live, but to find happiness.

Sneaking out of the Celestial Realms, she made her way to the Mortal Realm and hunted down Belphegor. First planning to kill his wife as he was **** to watch and then him, she planned and awaited her chance.

When it finally arrived, she attempted another surprise attack this time on Eisheth, but Belphegor caught her again before she could land a blow. This time though the Celestial General Mika Hail arrived before she could be dealt with and condemned her actions. Mika then announced that she was stripped of her Celestial rank and title, branded a demon just as those she had fought and destroyed in the Schism.

Marihem pleaded for mercy, falling at Belphegor’s feet, as she looked up longingly to her former master. Mika just laughed at her, and quipped, perhaps Belphegor would take mercy on her, for he and many of the demons she was now to join would never forgive her.

That is when the Demon King Satanas arrived to offer Belphegor the throne of the Abyss. Seeing Marihem there and defeated he demanded he be allowed to take her back to Iram with him to pay for her sins for eternity. Belphegor, though stepped up and refused that, announcing that if she would swear fidelity to him forever more, she would be welcome and protected in his kingdom, even being allowed to advise him.

In fear and without any other options Marihem took an oath right there to follow and advise Belphegor for as long as he ruled his kingdom. Belphegor then took her with him as he departed the Mortal Realm for the Abyss and to build his city of Gehenna there.

Since that time, though on face being a loyal and able advisor to the King, Marihem has worked with some that would have challenged for the right to rule. One of the most noteworthy was her aid to the fallen Celestial, Aranenos, though after he failed and became a lord of the coliseum she ignored him.

It should be noted though she refused to ever help or aide the demon Resheph, and even sought to sabotage his challenge after he attacked the Royal Nursery.

Since that time, she seemed to have accepted Belphegor fully as the leader of Gehenna.

It is also noteworthy to mention that about four thousand years ago she had a child with Belphegor a daughter by the name of Astraroth.

Personality:

At her heart Marihem is a truly Sadistic individual that takes great pleasure in the pain and misery she infects on others. She is also a woman of great pride, valuing herself as an honorable and just individual above all else. As a Celestial she was considered one of the most beautiful there was but with her nature and joy of mayhem, most avoided her.

She found a place at the side of the Celestial General Mika Hail, who seemed to be a being that actually saw her for as important as she truly is. As such she carried out his orders without question. This brought about the great pain and destruction of her love of him when he cast her out and branded her a demon. It was her mortal enemy Belphegor that saved her, when she was ready to accept **** or eternal ****.

Her feelings towards Belphegor are confusing to her, as she greatly respects him, and is bound by her oath to him. However she still hates that he not only bested her once but twice, embarrassing her and causing her fall. Digging deeper she might even have an emotional attachment to him as evidence by the fact that they have a daughter together, who they both care for greatly.
