The voices suggest withdrawing and Maple nods, gesturing to the bunny girl who hefts Take onto her shoulder as another soldier with a fox tail grabs Malphiel and they begin to retreat. But not before one of the voices has a message for Lord Windgrace. He scowls as he hears the words, fairly accurately explaining why his current beliefs and current path are wrong.

The squadron retreats, meeting no resistance and passing the multiple drop pods that landed just outside the cave entrance. They arrive back at the rest area. "We'll stand watch, you three rest," Maple suggests as Take and Malphiel are placed down gently on the ground. Maie still clinging to Take. Take nods weakly before fairly quickly drifting off. Malphiel falls asleep as well and Maple addresses the voices, "Sorry I didn't acknowledge your greeting. Good to hear the new chosen is being guided by at least one veteran. I'm sorry it wasn't Yulia, but honestly I don't think any of us have seen Yulia, Cherchiel or Dahlia in some time..." Maple admits, a slight tinge of concern in her voice. "I'm sure she's fine, but where she is in the Tower I have no idea," she admits. The bunny ears soldier approaches.

"I thought I heard a familiar voice," Sally says quietly and Maple nods.

"The new chosen seems to be guided still by some of our old friends," she explains and Sally waves.

"Good to see you again," she greets the voices.

"How are you holding up by the way?" Maple asks in a whisper.

"I'll need treatment when we get back. The suit is a bit... Wet if you know what I mean, but I can hold on for some time longer," Sally says a little embarrassed.

"Good to hear it. We hopefully won't be here for very long," Maple says and then yawns, stretching her arms above her head, her rifle in her lap. "It's been a long time. Anything new with you voices, anything you want to ask us?" Maple asks as they wait for Malphiel, Take and Maie to rest up.
