How Do Things Go From Here?

Mansion Tour Intermission: Yuri

After taking a few moments to compose himself again, Yuri took the time to look around the room and see all that was there. The book and time capsule were right where he left them before the trip. He carefully made his way over to the closet, which was its own walk-in unit; Yuri had a feeling the changes to the attire in the closet would be similar to the attire situation he had on day one. Regardless, it would still be nice to have more than the same three outfits over and over again.

Even the walk-in was bigger; the one Yuri had used prior to arriving in Erotolsia was a fraction of the size he found it now. Yuri had a feeling someone had taken more than a few liberties bringing the mansion here. And if the fox priestess was right, that someone was this world’s literal goddess of the night. Yuri suspected there was something in it for her in all of this, beyond the things the obvious that had been expressed to him earlier. Yuri shook the heavy thoughts from his head real quick when he noticed what he was doing; he needed to check the damage to his personal space.

Something had to be sacrificed in the change, especially with how the mansion was closer to his original designs, and chances were that would be his collection of outfits. After a few minutes of looking through everything, he found himself to be right; almost seventy percent of his wardrobe had become erotic parodies of themselves. The only things untouched seemed to be his socks and underwear, which he was thankful for. Just to the right, through the closet, there should have been the door to a private bathroom, which hadn’t really changed throughout any of the designs; Yuri wanted his private spaces to stay that way, and having the closet adjoining the bathroom made much more sense than keeping them separate, even if there was a bit of buffer zone between the two for the towels and the like to hang.

After a few minutes of searching around for the door to the towel room, as he liked to call it, Yuri opened the door and didn’t know how to feel. The small room for towels and bathrobes was now at least twice its original size with far more options now; there was even a platform for blasting yourself with warm air to facilitate drying off faster. After a moment, Yuri noticed the hamper for clothing, and the like that required a good washing. Yuri had the hamper to work on a special; once it sensed a set minimum weight and then a timer would start counting down, and a specialized pneumatic tube system would send all the contents of the hamper to the laundry room. Yuri didn’t recall seeing the laundry room on the main floor or second floor, which is where most of his revisions had moved it. But in some of his oldest plans, the laundry room was on the first basement level and took up almost half that space. He also recalled most of his plans had each of the guest washrooms having similar hamper systems to the one he had here.

Just wanting to get over with all of this nonsense, at least for the time being, Yuri loaded every piece of clothing he was wearing and in the bag into the hamper; he placed the rest of the things in the bag on some empty shelve he noticed by the door before opening the door to his private bathroom. And what he saw when he entered nearly floored him. He had always intended the bathroom to be a bit more cozy, which is why all of his design plans had it a fraction of the size of the closet, but now it was almost the same size as the closet.

There were now six different shower stalls, of varying sizes, instead of the two that were designed to operate independently of one another, so it could still be possible to wash there if one was being worked on. The center of the room was dominated by a bathtub that looked more like something a bit bigger than a small pool. To top it all off, there was a massive sink that was ornately decorated with its own onate counter bordering it to the left and the right; the counter was neatly organized with a variety of soaps, creams, and the like. The faucet of the sink was gold-plated, inside and out, instead of the corrosive-resistant chrome Yuri had opted for instead; this was something that was not in any of his plans; the knobs for the faucet were sterling silver, with some sort of protective measure to keep the water from causing them to rust, and decorated with gemstone powder to give the impression of a blue star and red star.

Yuri decided to run the knobs of the faucet to see which was which; common convention on Earth would make the blue star the cold water and red for hot water, but what the scientific understanding of stars was that red stars tended to actually burn colder because their lifespans were coming to an end and blue stars burned far hotter than even yellow stars like Earth’s sun. So, there was a chance the knobs would actually follow the astrological way of things, especially if the literal goddess of the night had something to do with all this.

Yuri carefully turned the blue star knob to the left a bit, thankful that was the right call as it turned and felt like it was coming loose. After a few quick turns, Yuri waited a moment before the water started to run out of the faucet; a few moments later, Yuri could see steam flowing off the water stream and where it was colliding with the sink’s basin. He quickly turned the water off; that check with the hot water was enough for him. Now, which washing unit would he use?
