Mandatory Meeting

Just then, the daycare phone rang. Monica walked over to it and answered. "Hello, Monica speaking."

Lauren looked nervous as Monica merely nodded her head while listening to whoever was on the other end. After a few seconds, Monica finally said, "Okay, noted. We're on our way there."

Monica then hung up the phone, turning to Lauren with an evil smile. "That was Jennifer." She said, "She said that Mr. Marshall just called a meeting. All staff are mandated to attend."

"Good. Then go!" Lauren said, hoping that she could at least find something else to wear while Monica was gone.

"Oh no, Lauren." Monica said with the same evil smile as she grabbed the little woman by the wrist. "It's a mandatory meeting. That means all staff members. And that means you."

"What?!" Lauren squealed as Monica pulled on her wrist, dragging the little woman out of the daycare and towards the conference room. "Wait! No! Stop!"
