Making life interesting

As rare as my occupation is, I still see a rather steady flow of business. My rates are high enough that I can survive on three to four contracts a year, and this enables me to choose which clients I take on with care. I take only those cases that interest me and this one is… fascinating to say the least. I can’t say just what it was that draws me to her. Maybe it’s the total void that is her social life, almost the bright mirror of my own. Which is not to say that I have the best social life in the world. Just that I have one.

I’ve spent hours planning my approach. Do I come in hard and loud? Or silent as the grave? Shall I do some of my work while she sleeps? Choosing when to strike is up to me as well, and I’ve chosen the Friday night of a holiday weekend for maximum time. She won’t be expected at work until Tuesday.

I’ve decided on a hybridized silent approach. Her door opens quietly. I know it will because I oiled it this morning after following her to work. I quickly but quietly unzip my kit bag. A pair of ratchet straps roll under to bed. Luckily it’s a platform. Nothing in the way. My gloves are already on. The client has specified a list of things that have to be accomplished, and the first is that she is never to see my face. I pull on the burlap mask.

I quickly secure her to the bed by way of the ratchet straps. Still asleep. Doesn’t matter for the next part, but effect is everything. Ever so silently I begin to cut away the blanket.

It’s instinct to open your mouth when something touches your lips. Something we have ingrained in us from infancy. Her pillowy soft lips part slightly as I gently press the ball gag to them. It’s one of three that I’ve brought, this one is only to stifle the initial screams. The other two have other purposes and I’ll use them later. As her mouth opens just a bit, I jam it home.

She begins to wake.
