Chloe wasn't sure what had just happened. She rolled the 6 and then...She looked around. Everything was just white. She couldn't even distinguish the floor from the walls or ceiling, it was rather creepy actually. Then she heard footsteps and turned around and was shocked to see herself, or rather, herself before any of the changes.
"Congratulations Chloe," Her clone said, "You've won the game and the wish."
"So what are you, the genie?" Chloe asked.
The clone shook her head, "Not exactly. I'm a manifestation of the game, and I've taken your form to remind you of the changes you've experienced."
"Right...so I get a wish? Can I wish for anything? Like to undo the game?" Chloe asked.
"No. Not anything. And you certainly can't undo the game. If you did, you wouldn't have won, and you couldn't make the wish. A paradox you see." Chloe kept waiting for the clone to explain what she could wish for, but it seems the clone wasn't very forthcoming.
"Ok, then just to undo all the changes?" Chloe asked.
"No, you can't wish for that. The magic of the game is powerful, but it is not more powerful than itself. You can wish to swap changes amongst players, but you cannot cancel any directly."
"So to get rid of my changes...I have to give them to someone else...do I have to take something back or could I just give them away?" Chloe asked. She would gladly give her transformations away, but taking on more...no thanks."
The clone smiled, "No you may give them away. If you so choose. Mind you, your friends will realize what you've done and they may not be pleased."
"Well fuck em...well, no. I mean, I don't want them to suffer either...fuck." Chloe shook her head. As much as she wanted to fix herself, she didn't want to hurt the others.
"Might I suggest looking beyond the game? You have access to the full power of the game. You could make a wish that doesn't involve changing transformations at all. Why work at all? Make yourself rich. Make others worship you. There is no need to limit yourself."
That was tempting, for sure, but ever since she had mentioned swapping Chloe was stuck on it. Being married to Brenda was a dream come true...except without Brenda reciprocating her feelings it was more of a nightmare. How awkward to spend the rest of her life with someone who doesn't, and can't, feel the same way? Although...she supposed she could simply wish for Brenda to fall in love with her...
No, she couldn't do that. Not so directly anyway. "Could I get a list of all the changes? I'm thinking of making a wish to swap things around."
The clone shrugged, "If you want to be boring, sure. Here." Suddenly Chloe held a tablet in her hands, with a spreadsheet showing each of them and their changes. This is exactly what she wanted. She went to work.
