You’ve got things to test, and these girls are going to help you. If they learn a life lesson or two while you’re at it, that’s great.

You confidently go inside Taylor’s door.

You find yourself in a castle. A shining, luxurious castle. You’re in what looks to be a round dance hall. A huge chandelier hangs from the ceiling. Pillars all around support a balcony above, the same shape as the hall. On one end, there’s gigantic double doors that look impossible to open, and on the other, tall windows hat reveal the starry night outside.

People all around are dancing and laughing. At the center of the hall, the literal center of attention is, of course, Taylor. She’s wearing a fancy golden dress which shows a good amount of cleavage. She’s dancing with a man, while many others wait for her, their expressions like excited puppies waiting for food.

Taylor looks bored, and shows it by pushing her dance partner away and calling for another, who is quickly at her side. Butlers and maids attend to her every whim, be it a cold beverage or a complete feast in her honor.

It’s time to try new things. With Vivian, you changed very few things in her dreams. When it came to atmosphere, you only nudged her in a certain direction. Now, you want to try changing the whole setting.

You start small. You change the outfit of one the men waiting from a tuxedo to the uniform of Taylor’s school. You try to make it as seamless as possible.

It works. The man is wearing the school uniform and no one, not even him or Taylor, care about it. You do it again with another person, and then another one. When there’s about 15 people in school uniforms and no one seems to find it out of place, you push forward with the plan.

You concentrate hard, and everyone is now wearing school uniforms, even Taylor.

Now, for the hard part. You picture it in your mind. You’ve seen it before in your girlfriend’s dream. You concentrate, and try your best to transform the dance hall into the school’s cafeteria. The image flickers in an out, but eventually, it changes. Everyone is now in the cafeteria, going about it as if it were a normal school day.

You look straight to Taylor, who is looking around with some confusion. She doesn’t seem to be questioning the change, but it seems to have been too sudden.

Now, this time it’s something even harder. You change the atmosphere of the dream. You picture it as changing the setting of the dream. You change it from “casual” to “gloom”. The dream now feels sad, and depressing. You can see Taylor’s shoulders slump and her brow furrow as she takes a seat at an empty table.

You can tell that, whatever control she still had over her dream, she just lost it.

You look at a group of girls in another table. Their faces are blurred, so that’s perfect. They’re people Taylor doesn’t know or care about, so what comes next will have no repercussions on anyone in the waking world.

All four girls stand up and sit with Taylor.

You change the atmosphere from “gloom” to “dreadful”.

Taylor sinks in her seat and the girls begin to laugh at her. One throws some mashed potatoes at her with her spoon, making the other laugh harder.

You flinch at the sight of the cowering Taylor. You’re the one that’s making this happen, but now you’re starting to feel sick. You’re not entirely unaffected by the atmosphere of the dream, so you can feel some of the fear Taylor is feeling right now.
