You twiddle your thumbs at your desk while Clara goes off to interview the scumbag's wife.

The chief may have told you to sit idly by but there’s a mole in the department and without you, everyone else is in danger. You wait for Clara to come back, you don't want to tread on any toes.

You walk up to Carmen, who is sitting with her feet on a filing cabinet, twiddling a strand of hair, holding her phone out in front of her as she video calls someone. She’s talking to a friend about a video she’s seen on Instagram. She’s sees you waiting and keeps on talking. Its five minutes by the time she finally hangs up the phone.

“What do you want” She says as in an exasperated voice as if she does not have time for this.

“The Chief said we knew who the gang leader was” You say, prompting for information.

“Yes” she says flatly.

‘Um could I get his name” you ask.

Another sigh. She takes her feet off the filing cabinet. Opens the top draw. Shuffles papers and pulls one out.

“Edward Jakobs” She reads off the top.

“And?” You ask

“And what?” She says

“Do you have an address?” This is so painful.

“122 Murdoch crescent” She reads off, then hands you the file so you won’t bother her anymore.
