53 year old stockbroker. Jason is a family man and the protagonist of this story. He spends his free time doing family activities and his alone time watching cuckold porn, maybe obsessively. His youngest daughter, Harper, is in her senior year of high school, so Jason is getting ready to be an empty nester.

50 year old high school teacher and Jason's wife. The two got married in college and started their family right away. Willow loves to teach, hike, and has recently picked up knitting. Jason always calls her a serial hobbiest, because she tends to take up new hobbies regularly and abandon old ones.

Yes, he's named after the musician. Steven is Jason and Willow's middle child. He's currently in school studying to be an architect. He's a little bit of a loner in the family after he and his mother had a falling out shortly before moving away for school. Due to his distance he has done very little to make that up. Jason and Steven still talk.

Aubrey Tyler

Aubrey is a college dropout working as a sales representative for a major clothing brand. When she dropped out of school she made her parents very nervous, but she has since made major inroads at work and seems to have real prospects. She is dedicated and hard working, but doesn't hesitate to party late into the night whenever she doesn't have work the next day. She is currently dating a model that she met at work, Julian, and has been for about a month. She and her father have always been close.

The baby of the family and still going through her rebellious phase. Dina has always been closer with her mother, but lately has mostly been spending her time out with friends or in her room talking to her friends. She's already been accepted to college and is trying very hard not to give in to her senioritis impulses. She enjoys writing fiction in her free time, primarily romance and wants to be an author.

The youngest member of the firm, though one who has proven herself more than competent. Her mother is an old friend of Henry's so Henry took a risk when he hired her right out of school. She is convinced that Henry had the ulterior motive of being very attracted to her, which she resents just a little. She moved to the US from Egypt at a very young age.

Janet is a member of the tennis team at Hoover High, and one of the top in her class, academically. She's already been accepted into a number of Ivy league schools, and hopes she can earn scholarships to pay for them. She likes Mason quite a bit, but doesn't know how to make the next step into being his friend.

Jason's partner. Henry has been in the business for a very long time and made all kinds of professional contacts that the firm can use. He's a very professional, fastidious man. He is certainly attracted to Yasmine, but is married and has two grown, adult children. His professional code would keep him from hitting on his hot partner regardless. He's a golfer, having taken up the sport at a time when more business deals were made on the green than in the office, but realized he loves the sport.

Mrs. Miel is Steven's old History teacher, and the previous love of his life. She's a bright, cheerful spot in a dark world and makes students and even staff happy to come to school. She's happily married to the manager of a security firm, and used to take the time to go out dancing whenever possible.
