Once a mother who watched her children Malik and Jade grow up alongside Garrett, Anita now sees him as a symbol of everything she opposes. The fractured relationships and Garrett’s descent into bitterness only solidify her belief that men like him must be subdued to make way for a more equitable society.
Relationship with Garrett:
To Anita, Garrett represents a threat not just to the safety of her family but to her vision for a new societal order. She sees his defiance as proof of the deeply ingrained toxic entitlement she aims to eradicate. Her personal disdain for him sharpens her resolve to assert control and ensure that Garrett becomes an example of the institution’s success—or its ruthlessness.

Latoya sees her position as a way to enforce the changes Anita envisions, keeping men like Garrett firmly in their place.
Brianna “Bree” Jones: In contrast, Bree is fiery, playful, and sarcastic, using her sharp tongue to belittle and provoke the inmates, particularly Garrett. She relishes the opportunity to mock and dominate those she views as symbols of outdated societal hierarchies. Her casual swagger hides a fierce loyalty to her sister and a willingness to enforce Havenbrook’s rules with ruthless efficiency.

She genuinely believes that the world’s problems stem from historical white male dominance and that it’s her duty to challenge these outdated power structures.
Despite her good intentions, Heather is naïve and oblivious to the harsh realities of the prison system. She sees herself as a champion of equality and fairness, but her self-righteousness and eagerness to please often make her an object of ridicule among her more hardened colleagues.
Heather is particularly drawn to Latoya Harris and idolizes Anita Williams, seeing them as strong, empowered women of color who are leading the fight against toxic masculinity. However, her desire to fit in and prove her loyalty blinds her to the manipulation and **** she faces.
Relationship with Garrett:
Heather initially views Garrett as the embodiment of everything wrong with society—a privileged white man who refuses to acknowledge his entitlement. Rachel is competent and resourceful, but her resentment toward Anita and the other women in power simmers just below the surface. Despite her frustration, she keeps her head down and does what’s expected of her, using her charms and sharp wit to navigate the oppressive environment.
Rachel often finds herself the target of mockery from her colleagues, particularly Latoya and Bree, who view her as an outsider and an object of scorn. Her appearance and passive demeanor make her stand out in a facility dominated by strong-willed, aggressive women.
Relationship with Garrett:
Garrett sees Rachel as an easy mark—someone who is already disillusioned and **** for a way out. He recognizes her hidden intelligence and cunning, understanding that Rachel could be a powerful ally if he plays his cards right.
