Field Motor:

The Field Motor is a New Type of Motor used to Drive The Joints of Mobile Suits. An Application of Minovsky Physics, This System uses The Interaction of I-Fields and Minovsky Particles to achieve far Lighter Weight and Higher Output than The Electric Motors used by The Original Mobile Workers.

Most Modern Day Mobile Suits use Field Motors instead of The Fluid Pulse System used by The HRL. Some Prototype Mobile Suits have been known to incorporate a Fluid Pulse/Field Motor Hybrid System.

NT-D System:

According to Official Design Data, NT-D stands for NewType-Drive, but its true name is NewType-Destroyer. The NT-D System is an Anti-NewType Operating System utilized by all Union and AEU Mobile Suits. NewType is a Common Reference to The Genetically and Cybernetically-Enhanced Super Soldiers created by The HRL.

As The Name Implies, The NT-D System was created with The Specific Purpose of Combating Enemy NewType Pilots. The NT-D System Automatically Activates in The Presence of a NewType. A Mobile Suit Equipped with The NT-D System uses its Factsphere Sensors to Scan The Surrounding Area for NewType Quantum Brainwaves. If a NewType is found, The System Activates Transforming The Equipped Mobile Suit into its Destroyer Mode. In Destroyer Mode, The Mobile Suit's abilities are Greatly increased and it can Move at Greater Speeds.

The NT-D System was also Designed to Combat NewType Mobile Suits Equipped with Funnels. The System can take Control of an Enemy's Funnel/Bit Units and Use Them Against The Pilot. The System itself lets The Pilot Mentally Control The Unit, Thus Making The Unit Immensely Responsive to The Pilot's Commands. However, The System itself has a Timer of 5 minutes, making sure The Pilot will not Expire from The **** Mental and Physical Fatigue of Moving a 20 Meter (65.6 Feet) Tall Machine with their Mind; and will also immediately shut down if The Pilot enters into an Extremely Weakened Condition.

Strike Packs:

Strike Packs are Specially-Designed Optional Interchangeable Auxiliary Armament Support Units that allows a Mobile Suit Unit to Adapt to a Number of Different Roles, Either Strategically or "On The Fly" if needed. Originally Developed by The Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations but eventually Adopted by The Advanced European Union they are Standard Military Equipment for nearly all of The Mobile Suits of The Union and The AEU. Strike Packs are The Modern Successor of Fast Packs and Super Parts of The Mid-21st Century. Strike Packs like their Predecessors allow External Engines as well as Additional Ordnance, Countermeasures, Gun Pods, Targeting Pods or Drop Tanks to be mounted onto Multi-Purpose Augmentative Variable Pylon Lanthanum Metallofullerene Hard Points.

It goes without saying that Strike Packs are intended to boost The Combat Potential of Any Mobile Suit they are equipped to. Where Fast Packs and Super Parts were Designed to be mounted before The MS launches. The Revolutionary Strike Packs are Designed to allow The Exchange of Weapons and Gear During Mid-Battle. Several Ways of Delivering them were Developed - From launching the desired Strike Pack using a Mass Driver, to Developing an Equally-Compatible Support Fighter to Deliver The Strike Packs to The Mobile Suit. Furthermore, Since The Strike Packs each contain an Auxiliary Battery that can be harnessed by The Mobile Suit, Successfully switching Packs Mid-Combat also Extends The Equipped Unit's overall Combat Endurance and Operation Time.

Using The IFF Transponder, On-Board Maneuvering Thrusters, and Satellite-Assisted Guidance Strike Packs can actually find their way to their target once launched. The AEU's Version of The Strike Pack System is called The Silhouette System and The Packs themselves are called Silhouettes.
