MS Technological Elements Common To The Three Primary Powers [Technology]

It has Been Estimated That The Mobile Suits of The Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations, The Advanced European Union, and The Human Reform League Share Nearly 75% of Their Technology. However, The Three Major Powers Are Distinct Entities and Thus Have Developed Their Own Unique Twists on Mobile Suit Technology But First Let Us Discuss The Ways In Which They Are Alike. Always A Good Place To Start.

Note: I Would Also Ask You To Keep In Mind That Not Every Mobile Suit Will Incorporate Each and Everyone of The Technological Advances Below... Just The Majority of Them.

Advanced No-Belt Seats:

A Specialized Type of Seat is used in Many Different Types of Mobile Suits. The Seat possesses No Seatbelts or Straps to protect The Pilot. It is considered Advanced because it firmly holds The Pilot in During Shock and Movements During Combat and yet allows The Pilot to stand up Despite the lack of Straps. The Advanced European Union vastly improved the setup by producing a seat that connects to a plug from The Pilot Suit in order to further secure The Pilot.

AMBAC:

Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) is a Fundamental Technology that allows for Thrusterless Maneuvering in The Zero-G Environment of Space by Mobile Suits by means of Precise Movement Control of their Limbs.

AMBAC works by Leveraging Isaac Newton's Third Law of Motion (When There's An Action There Is An Equal and Opposite Reaction) with regard to Inertia to effect changes in Direction. For Example, If we place a person in a Micro-Gravity Environment where Friction is Negligible (i.e. Space), and ask him to place his left arm to his chest then swing it out to the side, the resulting inertia of the arm movement would result in the rest of his body turning the other direction in order to conserve Angular Momentum. Then when the motion of the arm stopped, the rotation of the body would also stop. The AMBAC System coordinates Movements and Micro-Movements precisely, allowing a Continuous Balance and Stability without expending Reaction Mass. For The Most Part, AMBAC is invisible to the naked eye, as the shifts are slight. However, The System can be used to dodge incoming projectiles or small objects as the arms and legs of a Mobile Suit account for a Significant Portion of its Total Mass. The AMBAC system also allows the center of mass to shift outside of the body. AMBAC is by its nature limited to re-orienting the unit about its Center of Mass, and is not a substitute for Propulsion. It is often used in conjunction with The Propulsion System to quickly turn The Unit and Shorten Aiming Speed as well as Directing The Main Thrusters.

The System is similar in Principle to The Momentum Wheel System used in Present Day Satellites, though obviously more complex. Mobile Suits performing AMBAC Motions move similarly to Astronauts performing Extra-Vehicular Activity.

Apogee Motor/Vernier Thrusters:

In Addition to their Main Fusion Reactor, Mobile Suits are also equipped with Secondary and Tertiary Maneuvering Adjusters called Vernier Thrusters, derived from The "Apogee Kick Motors" used to position Artificial Satellites into Geosynchronous Orbit around The Earth. These devices, distributed across the machine's outer surface, are used for Altering Direction and Performing Fine Movements - or Attitude Control, in Technical Jargon. While Early Mobile Suits used Solid-Fuel Motors for Maneuvering, later models often used Liquid-Fuel Rockets for better performance.

  • Shelf Nozzle: With The Development of a New Generation of Highly Compact Mobile Suit, Designers began to consider Shifting Systems like Generators and Thrusters outside The Mobile Suit itself. The Shelf Nozzles installed on many Modern Mobile Suits are an example of this External Device Concept. These Shelf Nozzles are Movable Thrusters attached to The Mobile Suit's Backpack. The Flexibility provided by this technical advancement allows for increased AMBAC Maneuvering.
  • Fin Nozzle: These Devices are Improved Versions of The Shelf Nozzle used by Earlier Mobile Suits. The Fin Nozzles, Which project laterally from The Backpack, are connected directly to The Mobile Suit's Generator for better Energy Transmission Efficiency.

Arm Raker:

A New Type of Control Lever used in Mobile Suits. When The Pilot grasps The Spherical Controller, They can use their fingers to operate The Individual Control Switches, While moving The Sphere itself to Maneuver The Mobile Suit. It is said that this Type of Control Lever was actually much more simple to use over The Switches and Computer Controls used by Past Mobile Suits.

Artificial Intelligence Support:

Please log in to view the imagePlease log in to view the image

The Use of Artificial Intelligence as Support for Military **** Platforms began as early as The Mid-21st Century and has become Increasingly Common in The 22nd-Century. While they do not supplant The Basic Piloting Actions, They do help The Pilot in many ways. Their functions can include something as Simple as Eye/Sensor Movements to as Complex as Transformation Support. In Certain Instances, They can also be used to pilot a Mobile Suit from One Location to Another Remotely, or even used for Tactical Support.

The A.I. Support System's Physical Component is Modeled on The Mass-Produced Haro-Type Robots originally created in 21st-Century Japan as a Immensely Popular Commercially Available Children's Toy and eventually Modified by The Military as Vessels for Early Artificial Intelligences.

In Modern Warfare, The "Haro-Type" Permeates The Militaries of Every Great Nation across The Globe. Their Primary Function is The Maintenance of MS Technology. They can Assist in The Piloting, Calibrating, and Repairing of Mobile Suits, and They have their own AI to allow them to make certain Independent Judgments. While They have Legs and Arms to Travel and Walk, They tend to remain in their Spherical Ball Form when traveling around in Space or on Land where they Hover (in Environments with an Atmosphere or Low Gravity) by flapping its Appendage Coverings. It also has a "PC Mode" which allows it to be used like a computer.

Each Haro-Type is protected by an I-Field Barrier and Imprints upon The Brain Waves of it's assigned MS Pilot.

These Sophisticated Machines only look simple because they are Essentially Miniaturized isolinear Supercomputers Enhanced by The Inclusion of Bio-Neural Circuitry and Controlled by Three Primary Main Processing Cores, Cross-Linked with a Redundant Melacortz Ramistat and Fourteen Kiloquad Interface Modules. The Core Element is Based on an FTL Nanoprocessor with Twenty Five Bilateral Kelilactirals, With Twenty of those being Slaved to The Primary Heisenfram Terminal. They're capable of Simultaneous Access to 47 Million Data Channels, Transluminal Processing at 575 Trillion Calculations per Nanosecond, and A Operational Temperature Margin from 10 ° to 1790 ° Kelvin (441.67 To 2,762.33 °F).

Balancer:

A Standard Piece of Mobile Suit Technology, The Balancer, Sometimes called The Balance Controller or Auto-Balancer by Different Designers, is The Device responsible for keeping a Mobile Suit upright. This Device automatically adjusts to the terrain The Mobile Suit encounters enabling The Machine to walk like a Human Being. The Balancing Mechanisms are placed all across The Body of The Mobile Suit's Frame, with The Primary Systems being located in The Limbs.

Ceramic Composites:

In Addition to a Mobile Suit's Primary Neo-Titanium Alloy Construction, An Added Layer of Ceramic Composite Armor is used to increase Durability and act as a Defense against Telepathic Probes by Effectively Blocking Telepathc Transmissions even those that have been Psybernetically-Enhanced or Generated.

Chaos Mine:

The Chaos Mine is a Cylindrical Air Burst Grenade that sprays deadly shrapnel over a small area. However, It is ineffective against a Blaze Luminous.

Cockpit Ejection System:

The Cockpit is a Self-Contained Control Center and The Cockpit Ejection System is a System that Disengages The Cockpit from a Mobile Suit using Rocket Boosters, Typically they have an IFF Transponder installed. The system can be manually activated, or if A Mobile Suit's Sensors believe that The Pilot's life is in danger, It will automatically eject. When The Cockpit is disengaged, The Head of the unit that is mounted on the cockpit is detached. The Cockpit Ejection Systems are installed to allow The Pilot to escape life-threatening situations that occur during battle. However, It should be noted that the likelihood of proper ejection is significantly lowered if the essential components of The Cockpit are damaged or destroyed during battle. After The Rocket Boosters finish firing, It can deploy a set of parachutes to bring it safely back down.

Most of The Early Mobile Suits used during The One Year War lacked even Basic Emergency Escape Mechanisms. All Modern Production-Model and Most Prototype Mobile Suits are equipped with this Highly-Effective and Inexpensive System.

Contact Link:

The Contact Link is an Alternative means of Short-Range Voice Communication between Mobile Suits using The Factsphere Sensor's Laser Rangefinder.

  • LCS: Laser Communication System (LCS) is a Short Distance Communication System that is frequently used to facilitate Direct Audio and Video Communications between Multiple Parties. It works by using a light wavelength that is close to Visible Light, as Visible Light can't be easily Disrupted by Minovsky Particles or Ahab Waves. However, If something gets in between It and The Communication Target, The Line will Disappear. It can be said to be akin to a yarn phone, and by using The Ariadne Network, Long-Range Communication is possible. Its communication range can also be extended with the use of LCS drones.

Energy Capacitor (E-CAP):

A Mega Particle Cannon like those installed in Space Warships requires a Large Electrical Power Source, A Steady Supply of Energy in The Form of Minovsky Particles, and a Massive Energy Condensor to Compress The Latter into Mega Particles prior to firing. Therefore, It initially seems impossible to install these Weapons in Mobile Suits. These issues are Addressed with The Development of The Energy Capacitor, Which makes it possible to create Compact Beam Weapons with Greatly Reduced Power and Energy Requirements. The E-CAP stores Minovsky Particles in a Compressed, High-Energy State, Just short of fusing into Mega Particles. The Power Output of a Mobile Suit's Generator, Although far lower than that of a Warship, Is sufficient to Complete this Process and Form Mega Particles.

  • Energy Pack: Energy Pacs or E-Pacs are Larger and Store Approximately Six Times More Minovsky Particles than a Regular E-Cap.

Energy Wing:

When a Mobile Suit's Back Mounted Thermonuclear Pulse Thrusters are in operation They create a Visible oscillation in Air Molecules and Distortion in The Visible Light Spectrum that gives the illusion that a Mobile Suit has Wings.

Energy Wing System:

The Energy Wing System is an Atmospheric Floatation Device that was developed to enable flight in Mobile Suits. Its operation is Electromagnetic in Nature giving it the capability of both of Suspending Extremely High-Mass Structures in Stationary Flight and Moving Them through The Air at Decently Fast Speeds. It requires Computerized Gyroscopic Stabilization. Successive Improvements in The Technology and Increased Miniaturization have given The Newest Generations of Mobile Suit Unrivaled Agility and The Formidable Ability to easily break The Speed of Sound, allowing Pilots to Move, React, and Maneuver at Blindingly Fast Speeds. This results in clear Afterimages due to The Aerodynamic Ignoring Properties of The System.

The Energy Wing System, When Activated, Creates a Characteristic Rippling Effect that causes the air around The Mobile Suit to create a Ring of Light that Mimics The Color of The Mobile Suit's Energy Wing. The Energy Wing System performs marvelously in combat, enabling Experienced Pilots to Destroy Multiple Enemies in a Short Amount of Time and Drastically Dominate the course of The Battle.

  • Minovsky Particle Scattering System: The Minovsky Particle Scattering System is a device which disperses Minovsky Particles over a Wide Area, Disrupting and Jamming The Communications and Sensors of Enemy Mobile Suits and Warships, rendering Mobile Suits Virtually Undetectable. When Scattered in Open Space or in The Air, The Repulsive Forces between Charged Minovsky Particles cause them to Spontaneously Align into a Regular Cubic Lattice Structure called an I-Field. An I-Field Lattice will slowly expand and scatter into Space; However, If used correctly, It will allow a Mobile Suit to achieve Low Altitude Flight under Gravity without Refueling. The Minovsky Drive Units are located on the rear shoulder units and lower legs. Since it is made up of Charged Particles, The I-Field is unable to Penetrate Metal, Water, The Earth's Surface, or Other Electrically Conductive Materials and can be shaped simply by trapping it in an Electromagnetic Field. Thus, at Low Altitudes it is possible to Generate an I-Field Cushion between The Underside of a Vessel and The Ground which resists Compression, Yielding a Gravity-Countering Buoyancy allowing Mobile Suits to Accelerate to Extremely High Speeds, Enter and Exit Earth's Atmosphere by repelling Plasma and Ionized Gases, and to "Fly"/Hover while inside a Atmosphere for Extended Periods.

This Feature gives Mobile Suits Immense Speed, Mobility and Versatility.

Factsphere Sensors:

Thanks to The Effects of Minovsky Particle Interference, Radar and Normal Sensors are virtually useless on The Battlefields of 2174, and Optical Cameras are The Primary means of Detecting and Targeting Enemy Vessels.

Visual Data is gathered through Factsphere Sensors. Resembling The Eye of a Giant Cyclops, They are Distinctive Main Sensors used by Mobile Suits Which are essentially Advanced Optical Cameras Supplemented with Laser Range-Finding and Thermographic Capabilities for Long-Range Enemy Detection and Precision Targeting, Multispectral Sensors for Reconnaissance, and An Array of Other Data-Collection Functions which are Collated in Real-Time. Visual Data provided by The Factsphere Sensor System is supplemented by Ten or More Secondary Cameras, which are distributed around the exterior of The Mobile Suit allowing a Mobile Suit to Gather Vast Amounts of Data over a Wide Area, from Enemy Troop Movements to Geographical Stability to Even Surrounding Air Density and Composition.

They are usually protected under a Retractable Layer of Armor. When retracted it allows for Greater System Sensitivity. Earlier Generation Mobile Suits typically place a single Factsphere sensor on the head of The Unit, While later models place one on each shoulder. Factsphere Sensors are also used to Relay Video Feeds, Enhance Low Light Visibility, and Identify Objectives.

Although Minovsky Particle Interference does have some effect at Infra-Red Wavelengths, Enemy Warships and Mobile Suits still register as Heat Sources. On Earth, Other options for Detecting Enemies include Sonar and Magnetic Anomaly Detectors - The Latter Devices, used in The Modern Era for Locating Submarines, Sense The Magnetic Distortions caused by Metallic Objects.

G-Controller:

The G-Controller is a Removable Controller Required by Union, AEU, and HRL Mobile Suit Pilots to Activate their Mobile Suits or to use The Satellite System.

Grappling Wire:

Similar to The Wire-Gun used by some Mobile Suit Pilots to help them get around in Zero-Gravity Environments like Spacecraft Hangars and Space Colony Docks. It is Mainly used to Immobilize Enemy Units when The Pilot wishes to avoid damaging The Target and if necessary to deliver crippling electrical shocks to Enemy Pilots. Its Tip contains Vernier Thrusters that allow The Controlling Pilot to precisely control its Trajectory.

Hardpoints:

A Lanthanum Metallofullerene Attachment Point for Weapons, Shields, Spare Ammunition, or Optional Mission-Specific Equipment. Hardpoints can also be used to store carried Weapons when a Mobile Suit needs its Manipulators (Hands) free for other purposes, or when a Transformable Mobile Suit changes into its Mobile **** Form. It is Standard Practice for Mobile Suits to be fitted with Several Hardpoints for attaching a Wide Variety of Equipment.

Heat Dagger:

The Heat Dagger is an Alternative Close Combat Weapon, The Heat Dagger is unlike Most Heat Weapons as its Blade is Heated using Leftover Heat from The Leg's Thrusters. The Heated Blade can melt through Enemy Armor on contact, Which when combined with The **** applied to The Attack, can inflict significant damage. The Heat Daggers are stored in The Legs, One in Each Calf. Normally, It is handheld when in use, but it can also slide out of the sole of The Foot as a surprise attack.

Later Versions of The Heat Dagger are equipped with an Electrical Discharge Function and can Store High Charges via The Application of Minovsky Particle Physics.

Heatproof Field:

A System which pumps out air to counter The Friction Heat of Atmospheric Entry. The Mobile Suit's Internal Cooling Systems must also be engaged to deal with The Heat that Penetrates The Air Field.

I-Field Generator:

When Minovsky Particles are released into The Air or into Open Space, The Positive and Negative Particles Spontaneously Align themselves into a Three-Dimensional Cubic Lattice. Due to The Repulsive and Electrostatic Forces between The Minovsky Particles, This Lattice Functions as a kind of a **** Field, Which is referred to as an I-field. This Field has Difficulty Permeating Conductive Materials like Metal, Water, and Plasma, and it exerts a Repulsive **** against Mega Particles allowing it to deflect Enemy Mega Particle Beams.

Due to its High Power Requirements, The I-Field Generator originally could only be installed in Larger Mobile Weapons. When The Generator is Activated, The I-Field Forms an Invisible Barrier around The Mobile Suit, Protecting It from Incoming Beam Attacks. However, This Barrier has No Effect against Solid Objects like Missiles and Projectiles, and Beam Weapons can still be used at Point Blank Range within The Barrier's Boundary.

However, In Passing Years, Development of The I-Field Generator has lead to The Creation of Versions capable of not only protecting against Beam Weaponry, But also Limited Protection against Physical Weaponry and could even be used to trap Enemy Units within it or be extended to protect Damaged Friendlies.

The Mobile Suit Engineers of The Union after Decades of Research and Development have succeeded in creating The X3 I-field, A Special, Miniaturized I-Field Generator built into The Hands of later Mobile Suits. While The X3 I-Field acts like a Normal I-Field, It also has the added bonus of being able to let a Mobile Suit grab a hold of Beam Sabers with its hands without destroying them. However, It has The Same Weakness as all other I-Field Generators - The Generators tend to overheat and thus **** Cooldowns. Even if The Unit used their Generators one at a time, There is still a Window of Opportunity for their Enemies to Utilize.

IFF Transponder:

Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) is a System used primarily by Mobile Suits and Military and Civilian Airships and Transports. It broadcasts a signal, encoded on a specific channel, that transmits information regarding location, direction and unit type, allowing for tacticians to actively see the battlefield. The system can be a double edged sword, If the IFF information is used by an enemy in a captured unit. An IFF transponder can be removed, although the exact process varies depending on The Type of Mobile Suit and The Nation Employing it and in the case of The HRL, It may also be booby trapped.

Interface System:

Some of The Mainstream Features found inside a Standard Mobile Suit's Cockpit block are a set of Three Panoramic Display Monitors, Dual Control Joysticks, and Various Instrument Panels. The Panoramic Monitors are linked to Outside Sensors and Cameras, and can be switched to display other information such as status or even as a Video Communication System. In Custom Frames, The Interface System varies, dependent on The Mobile Suit's Primary Function towards Combat.

The Landspinner Propulsion System:

In Addition to The Standard Range of Bipedal Movement, Mobile Suit Frames are equipped with Landspinners. The Landspinner Propulsion System is essentially a Set of Self-Propelled Wheels similar to Roller Skates that can be deployed from the back of each Heel or Outer Ankle of a Mobile Suit's foot, which allow them to achieve High Mobility and Speeds on Most Terrain, and are often used as brakes when a Mobile Suit is dropped from A Plane. Since The Legs and The Landspinners themselves can each pivot, they can be used to move off the ground using the surrounding surfaces as points of contact. Landspinners are often Heavily Insulated and Generate very little sound.

Linear Floating Seat:

During The Development of Veritech Fighters, It quickly became evident that Standard Seatbelts weren't protecting The Pilots adequately During Tough Battles. To lessen the shock of impacts, The Linear Seat was developed. A Pilot Seat which becomes The Standard in Modern Warfare. In This Arrangement, The Seat is suspended in the center of The Cockpit, supported by a Linear Arm which Electromagnetically Counters Intense G-Forces and Impact Shocks in order to protect The Pilot. When used in conjunction with The 360-Degree Panoramic Screen, The Linear Floating Seat also gives The Pilot a Larger Field of View and Eliminates Many Potential Blind Spots. Due to The Superior Performance of this setup, Even Older Mobile Suit models are often refitted with Linear Floating Seats and Panoramic Screens.

Manipulators:

The Technical Term for a Mobile Suit's Arm and Hand. The Mobile Suit was originally conceived of as a Powered Space Suit to extend The Human Operator's own capabilities, and the term "Manipulator" is inherited from The Artificial Arms used in Powered Suits. These Devices give The Mobile Suit Unparalleled Versatility, and their Built-In Touch Sensors provide immediate feedback for Precise Operation. In Some Cases Weapons and Shields are also Integrated into these Manipulators, but their Primary Functions are Carrying Equipment and Manipulating Objects.

The tips of these Manipulators are also equipped with Devices to seal ruptures in Spacecraft and Space Colony Exteriors using Laser or Chemical Sealant. They are also equipped with other Utility Devices like Signal Flares and Fire Extinguishers.

Mass Driver:

An Electromagnetic Catapult installed on The Surface of a Planet, Moon, or Other Celestial Body, Which is used to Accelerate Objects to Escape Velocity. On a Small Celestial Body like Earth's Smallest Moon, with Low Gravity and No Atmosphere, Objects can be launched into Orbit by The Mass Driver alone, But Objects launched from Earth still require a rocket booster to complete their ascent.

Upon reaching its destination, The Mass Driver's Payload can be collected by a Giant Net known as a Mass Catcher. This System is used to deliver resources mined from The Lunar Surface to The Lagrange Points, where they can be used for Space Colony Construction. Mass Drivers are also used extensively to launch Mobile Suits and Strike Packs.

Mobile Trace System:

The Mobile Trace System used by Modern Mobile Suits is a Scaled Down Version of The Polygraphic Body Scanners used by The Law-Enforcement Drones of The Early 21st-Century The Mobile Trace System Consists of High-Resolution Holographic Imaging Nodes and Multiphasic Bio-Diagnostic Sensor Clusters equipped with Additional Sensor Ports which blanket The Cockpit and Monitor The Pilot's Physiology and continuously scan them to Determine and Assess Health or Injury.

The Mobile Suit's Artificial Intelligence is also tied into this System and uses the information gathered to anticipate The Pilot's Decisions.

Nano Mirror Chaff:

Nano Mirror Chaff is a Type of Simple but Effective Countermeasure made of a Powdered Form of the Nanolaminate Armor mixed with Pink Smoke that came into use in The 21st-Century and is still used in Military Operations especially against The Mobile Suits of The Independent Congress of Neutral Territories. Nano Mirror Chaff can be used to Disrupt Communications and Sensors including LCS and Optical Sight.

While effective in a narrow manner, especially around Ahab Reactor-equipped MS and battleships. Some Communication Methods such as Light Signals are Unaffected and can be used to Coordinate a Quick Counterattack to re-enable Normal Communications.

Neo-Space Titanium Alloy:

Please log in to view the imagePlease log in to view the image

Neo-Space Titanium (or Simply Neo-Titanium) is a Virtually Indestructible, Super High-Tensile, Man-Made, Non-Radioactive Transuranic Alloy that is Both Stronger and Lighter than Any Titanium Alloy produced in The 20th or even The 21st-Century with Incredible Gravitational Properties.

Titanium Alloys are by no means New or Revolutionary and The Modification of Metallic Materials using a Mixture of Titanium and Other Chemical Elements is definitely not a New Process but in The 22nd-Century what is New is The Capability of Science to create Neo-Titanium Alloy. This Variant is used almost exclusively in The Construction of Mobile Suits.

Originally, Neo-Titanium was intended for use inside The Thermonuclear Reactors of The Space Colonies but it was soon decided that this Alloy's Superb Strength, Durability (Even at **** Temperatures), Light Weight, Extraordinary Corrosion Resistance, Heat Resistance and Radiation-Absorbing Properties made it an Ideal Material for Most Mass-Produced Mobile Suit Armor.

Neo-Titanium is created through A Process utilizing The Most Advanced Refining, Fusing, and Deoxidizing Techniques ever produced by Human Science, Which are only possible in The Zero-Gravity Conditions of Space. Neo-Titanium is a unique compound which begins with Lunar Titanium Ore Mined Primarily from Earth's Moon Colony which is melted in a Thermonuclear Furnace using a Form of High-Temperature Plasma that can only be produced in a Zero-Grav Environment where it is mixed with a Number of Proprietary Chemical Resins. The Base Compounds are then adjusted in Nano-Units, A Process so precise that it can only be done in Gravitationally Stable Lagrange Points. The Annealing Process, Which Strengthens The Alloy, Is performed by Electromagnetic Waves from The Sun. It is even rumored that The Nuclei of The Atoms of The Alloy themselves are Modified. The Refinement Process causes The Alloy to become Electrically Neutral, Making it ideal for use with Beam-Type Weapons, and as Armor, The Material is Almost Entirely Resistant to Charge.

There is No Armor capable of Defending against Beam Weapons but The Combination of Neo-Titanium, Ceramic Composites and The Latest Anti-Beam Coating (ABC), Modern Mobile Suits are at least Resistant giving Pilots a Much Higher Chance of Survival. Additionally, While Neo-Titanium cannot stop a Beam Attack outright it does create an "Anti-Field" that repels Beam Attacks to Some Degree, Reducing The Damage Delivered.

While Many Similar Alloys were developed on Earth, No other Compound is as Immutable as Neo-Titanium and so it remains Superior to The Competition because of its Zero-G Creative Process.

However, The **** Difficulty in it's Production and The Astronomically High Cost (Ten Times More Than Any Other Metal Alloy) of both Raw Materials and Processing make it Unfeasible for Mass Production and Limit it's use to Military Applications.

Panoramic Screen:

Please log in to view the imagePlease log in to view the image

A New Type of Cockpit Display, Typically used in conjunction with a Linear Floating Seat. The Multiple Panels of The Panoramic Screen make up a Single 360-Degree Display, Which covers The Entire Inner Surface of The Spherical Cockpit. The image displayed on this screen is a Computer Simulation constructed from The Cameras distributed around The Mobile Suit's Exterior. The Viewpoint is that of The Mobile Suit's Head, and the image is carefully edited to remove The Mobile Suit Itself.

Pilot Suit:

The Pilot Suit is a Lightweight Type of Traditional Space Suit used for Extravehicular Activities. There are Several Different Varieties and Designed Primarily for Combat Pilots. These form-fitting space suits provide a minimum of impediment to The Pilot's Movements. They are Based on The CVR-6 Personal Combat Armor used By Veritech Pilots and carry over many if not all of The Armor's Abilities including Life-Support and Communications Equipment as well as a Vernier Backpack for Zero-Gravity Maneuvering.

Propellant Tank:

Propellant is The Reaction Mass used by The Secondary and Tertiary Thrusters of Mobile Suits. When This Propellant is Discharged through The Nozzles of The Thrusters, It creates a Counter-**** in The Opposite Direction, Generating Thrust. The Amount of Thrust depends on The Exhaust Velocity and The Rate at which Propellant Mass is Consumed, and Since The Former Factor is subject to Strict Technological Constraints, Mobile Suits must carry Large Quantities of Propellant to sustain them throughout extended battles. Due to Internal Space Limitations, Some Mobile Suits carry Additional Propellant in External Propellant Tanks.

An External Tank is used for Propellant Storage. This Extra Propellant greatly extends a Mobile Suit's Operating Range, and enables it to stay in combat longer. When The Propellant is consumed, The Tank can be discarded to reduce The Mobile Suit's Weight. These Tanks use a Two-Layered Construction, with One Layer containing Propellant, and The other holding Extra Coolant.

Quantum Cryptography Communication System (QCCS):

A Quantum Encryption Communications Protocol. Much like LCS, QCCS is used to Facilitate Real-Time Video Conversations as well as to send Messages. It is the preferred for Long Distance Telecommunications.

Self-Destruct System:

Nearly all Mobile Suits regardless of Nationality are equipped with a built-in Self-Destruct Device to prevent The Capture of Technology by The Enemy. A Remote Detonator is placed within The Cockpit and if a dire situation arrives, The Pilot can destroy The Mobile Suit. The System is Designed to Overload its Power Systems and has enough Explosive Power to Destroy Several City Blocks. It's a last option tactic if the pilot is incapable of protecting The Mobile Suit, While not allowing it to fall into Enemy Hands. It also can be used as One Large Explosive Device to Eradicate Large Targets.

Shock Balloon:

A Shock-Absorbing device which becomes a standard feature of Mobile Suit Cockpits 10 Years after they enter widespread use by The Military. Numerous Shock Absorbers are installed throughout a Mobile Suit's Body, and The Linear Floating Seat where The Pilot sits is itself mounted on an Electromagnetic Shock Absorber. The Shock Balloon, An Inflatable Cushion similar to The Airbags of 20th-Century Automobiles, Provides Additional Protection in the event of Violent Deceleration. The Balloon Emerges from The Cockpit's Main Console Panel at the moment of impact, and then immediately deflates again.

Slash Harken:

The Slash Harken are Wire Guided Projectiles that are usually attached in pairs on The Shoulder Joints of a Mobile Suit but can also be located on the Chest, Wrists, Knees, or Hips. The Slash Harken's tip is usually blunt and can vary in shape at the end. They can be used in multiple ways varying from offensive to defensive, or as a means of transportation via anchoring them in an object, and retracting the cable, or in the case of some wrist mounted Slash Harkens used by The AEU, The Cable can be stiffened and then used like a pole to vault (Some Pilots have been known to use The Wire of Slash Harken as a Whip). The Combat Ability of The Slash Harken can be increased substantially by Special Equipment meant to release Potent Energy Blasts, An Electrical Surge capable of destroying less advanced Mobile Suits like those of The Independent Congress of Neutral Territories, A Radiation Wave Unit can also be equipped to function like a Slash Harken. Another Unique Piece of Equipment for some Slash Harkens are Harken Boosters, which increase the speed of The Harken and allow The Pilot to change its Trajectory Mid-Flight for Greater Versatility.

Sturm Booster:

A Detachable Booster that can be installed on Mobile Suits. These Devices house both Propellant Tanks and Powerful Rocket Thrusters, enabling The Mobile Suit to accelerate rapidly on its way to The Battlefield. Once their Propellant is exhausted, The Sturm Thruster Units are detached and discarded as Dead Weight.

Sub Flight System (SFS):

During The One Year War, The Dodai YS Bomber was transformed into a Flying Platform for Transporting Mobile Suits through Earth's Atmosphere. But The Dodai also retained all of the functions of a Conventional Aircraft, such as Navigation and Fire Control Systems, and so required its own Dedicated Pilot. This makes the Dodai highly versatile, but also rather expensive.

After The War, UEG (Unified Earth Government) Forces refine this concept into a Dedicated Mobile Suit Support Device, substantially reducing its cost. These Sub Flight Systems, or Sled, come in Both Atmospheric and Space Versions. During The Russo-Anglo-American Alliance-Chinese Hegemony War, Unmanned Models were created to be controlled by The Mobile Suit Pilot from Their Cockpit, But Later Versions are equipped with Cockpits so that they can also be used as Transport Craft.

Thermonuclear Pulse Thrusters:

Thermonuclear Pulse Thrusters are a Highly Efficient Propulsion System used for Moving Asteroids, Space Colonies, and Large Vessels like Inter-Planetary Helium Carriers. In This Mechanism, Compressed Fuel Pellets Composed of Deuterium and Helium-3 are Bombarded by Powerful Artonian Lasers or Multiphasic Particle Beams, creating a Series of Infinitesimal Micro-Fusion Explosions. The Protons and Helium Ions produced by these Fusion Reactions can then be directed by a Magnetic Field to generate Thrust. While this Mechanism is Far Less Powerful than The Standard Thermonuclear Reaction Turbine Engine of decades past it is ideally suited to for Mobile Suits with Far Better Fuel Efficiency than a Thermonuclear Rocket Engine or a Chemical Rocket, but due to its relatively low thrust it's best suited for massive, slow-moving objects such as The Asteroid Axcis.

Utility Tools:

In many of the most successful Mobile Suit Designs, Either forearm of The Mobile Suit is equipped with a variety of Multipurpose Diagnostic and Manufacturing Tools Designed for a Multitude of Different Tasks including Hacking, Decryption, Bomb Disposal, Battlefield Repairs, Etc.

Vulcan Gun Pod System (or CIWS):

Built Into Either Side of a Mobile Suit's Head, The Computer-Controlled 60mm Vulcan Guns are Fairly Standard Close-Range Defensive Armaments. As a Type of Close-In Weapon System (Abbreviated CIWS, Pronounced "see-whiz”), They are Mostly Used for Point-Defense. Vulcan Guns have a High Rate of Fire but Little Power in comparison to The Other Weapons in its Arsenal, They are Extremely Effective at Restraining Enemy Machines, Intercepting Incoming Missiles, and Can Destroy The Cameras, Sensors and Joints of Enemy Machines at Very Close Range. They are Ideal for Use against Small, Lightly Armored Targets such as Missiles, Attack Vehicles, Enemy Personnel, etc. Thanks to their High-Performance Fire Control Systems, They can Locate, Track, and Fire upon their Targets Automatically, and The Automatic Targeting System can also be Disengaged so that The Pilot can control them Manually.

The name Vulcan Gun was originally coined by General Electric for their Electric-Powered Gatling Guns. However, It has since become Common Slang for Any Electric-Powered Gatling Gun.

This Weapon borrows its Name from The Close-In Weapons Systems used by Modern-Day Naval Vessels, Which are in turn Named after The Massed Phalanx Formations of Ancient Greek Infantry Soldiers.

Wing Binders and Tail Stabilator:

Wing Binders and Tail Stabilator are Technological Instruments that provide extra control for The AMBAC Systems. The Wing Binders Concept is normally utilized as part of The Transformation System for Transforming Mobile Suits (TMSs). They were originally supposed to help The Mobile Suit move effectively even while it is in Mobile **** Form. However, They are useful as Additional AMBAC Limbs. As a result, Transforming Units often perform exceptionally well against more Conventional Mobile Suits in Space where their Wing Binders provide them with Superiority Maneuverability.

A Cousin to The Wing Binders is The Tail Stabilator, An Elongated Binder that is also mounted on The Mobile Suit's back and can serve to increase The Unit's AMBAC Capabilities. Some Variants of The Tail Stabilator are equipped with Built-In Vernier Thrusters and can thus further improve a Mobile Suit's Maneuverability.
