Lunch with Friends

As Timothy stepped off the train his senses were acosted with mouthwatering scents from all over the world. Mexican met Indian me Japanese mt Polish mt Italian met American. People were milling about with their styrofoam and cardboard containers of loaded macaroni and cheese, poke nachos, crepes, stir fry, artisan grilled cheese sandwiches and things he couldn't even identify. He pushed his way to their usual table by the MogeMoge Ramen Cart and saw that both Joey and Rita has already arrived. Joey flagged him down.

"Late as usual. And looks like you didn't even get any beauty sleep - still as ugly as ever." Joey smirked between mouthfuls of noodles and broth. He was a wirey and pasty nerd with shaggy blonde hair and watery blue eyes. His black leather jacket fit so poorly it made him look like he was much younger than he was.

"Lay off Tim and focus on your food Skeletor. You aren't exactly a Prince Charming yourself" chided Rita. Her long rainbow hair blew dramatically in the wind. She was proud of the color gradient in her vibrant mane that ran down her shoulders. It faded seamlessly through all the colors of a naturally occuring rainbow and cost her almost half a month's rent. Rita always had a smile on her face and was a self proclaimed wild child. She wore grunge style clothes from thrift stores that seldom matched and had an infectious laugh. She had been a proud lesbian since the seventh grade.

Timothy didn't think either of his friends would believe him if he told them about his new magical necklace. He didn't think he would believe it either. He waved nonchalantly.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. One sec while I grab some noodles"

He walked up to the Ramen Cart and a Japanese woman in her early 30s took his order. She was pretty in a delicate, demure sort of way. She kind of reminded him of one of the JAV actresses in a video he had seen recently which made him blush as he ordered his Black Garlic Ramen. Then he had an idea. After paying for the meal with his credit card he thrust a dollar at the woman.

"When my food is ready, come and feed it to me. Sit next to me and personally hand me each bite with chopsticks. He then stepped back to the table with his friends, wondering what would happen next.
