Who's at the door?
Luna
You nervously open the door to find your best friend, and longtime crush, Luna standing there with a smile. You do your best to smile back at her, but you can't stop worrying about your encounter with Azrael.
"Hey, Luna! What brings you here?" You ask.
"Just wanted to talk. Can you believe we're 21? Feels like yesterday we were graduating from secondary school," Luna replies.
"Yeah I know what you mean," you reply.
You sense something strange. Time is slowing! Who is doing this? It is not affecting you. You detect another consciousness inside your head. It speaks.
"You care for her," it states.
"Silence, intruder. My thoughts are not your concern," you think, hoping that will work to communicate with it.
"Why do you not pursue her? Do you fear she will not return the sentiment?" It asks.
"We have been friends for our entire lives. She would not feel it wise to jeopardize our friendship for romance, even if she wanted to." You question why you felt compelled to answer the voice.
"Then perhaps you should...convince her it is what she wants," the voice suggests.
"How would I do that?" You ask curiously.
"Simple. Accept Azrael's gift, and I shall teach you a spell. It will make her yours forever, but first you must accept my help."
"No. Absolutely not. I will not corrupt myself."
"Ah, I see. You fear what you might do if you let go of your discipline and rules and depend solely on your strength," the voice deduces.
"You do not know me, demon," you dismiss.
"Oh, but I do. I see your mind in a way you cannot. I can see your past, present, and future. And I know something you don't. You are not just merely insightful in how people think and feel. You are developing into a telepath! Quite rare," the voice responds.
A telepath? Really? That would make sense. Maybe this voice does know you. But you must not fall for it's tricks.
"Well then, if what you say is true, enlighten me. How come I'm so afraid to depend on my power alone?" You ask sternly.
"I see a mind plagued by dark thoughts. The darkness is held back by wall after wall. But for each wall put up, less power can be accessed. You know that to use all your power would require setting your mind free of it's bonds. Perhaps I can move these walls for you. Let some darkness in."
"No!" You roar, but it's too late. Suddenly, your mind races, flooded with intrusive thoughts of greed, sex, and power. You fight them back.
Time resumes as normal and Luna cocks her head at you.
"You alright, Clayton? You look troubled," Luna observes.
"Completely fine. Just a bit nervous about my meeting with the councilor. Say, why don't you make yourself at home and I'll pour you some coffee?" You say, trying to sound normal.
Luna smiles and accepts. You watch her as she turns away from you and heads to the couch. Your mind flashes and you imagine Luna naked. Another flash and suddenly you see you escorting her to the bedroom, still naked. Another flash and you see your bedroom. You are tying Luna to the bed frame. You spank her tight ass. You hear her cute moan escaping from her plump soft lips. It tempts you but you resist.
You head to the kitchen and prepare her a cup of coffee. Your intrusive thoughts return, but this time you see your friend, Leon. You see him seduce Luna and bring her to his apartment. You flash again and see Luna on her hands and knees, with Leon fucking her from behind. Your jealousy begins to consume you. You tell yourself that it's not real. Leon would never do that to you. And Luna surely wouldn't have feelings for Leon. If anyone has earned her love, it is you. But as you approach with her coffee, you can't help but wonder...
What if you're wrong?
