Luna - Alteration Magic

You consider on your options for a moment, and then look at the dark skinned elven beauty, and can't help but feel she might be nice to you, which will hopefully help you out in your studies, on top of that, it sounds as if her field would give you a wide array of useful spells which could allow you to lend support to many situations, without sitting around a mixing potions, or casting potentially dangerous spells. You can come back to those when you're more confident with the business of magic, you think to yourself.

"I'd like to study under you Luna." You say with a smile as the dark skinned elf smiles back at you, as the other two turn and head up the large stair case behind the them.

"Glad to hear that." Luna replies with a giggle, before turning to the side and walks towards the large plain wall, and waves her hands and a door slowly morphs from the plain white stone. Luna smiles as she opens the door and leads you through to a large spacious rooms with a hint of lavender in the air, you follow Luna through into the room, the floor creaking as you step out into it, you are surprised to see the tops of the grassy hills, with being on the lower levels of the college. You walk over to the window and confirm that you are several stories higher than you were a second ago, the door closes behind you, and you turn to Luna.

"What type of magic was that? It'd sure be handy getting around." You say as you look down at the surroundings, seeing the winding paths and the occasional robed person walking along.

"Ah yes, a very spell in my field, incredibly useful, but also not one you want to make a mistake with, unless you don't mind being inside a wall. Simple enough in concept, but anything but simple in the execution, much like most cases in the arcane arts." Luna says with a chuckle as she walks over to you and taps the wall next to you. The stone begins to warp as the window stretches until its almost as wide as the entire wall. Next Luna taps the wall again and a bench made of stone just beneath the window stretches out, and Luna takes a seat, and gestures for you to do the same. You take a seat next to Luna, and she passes you a small book, entitled basic alterations - what really matters. A pun which is lost on you, due to your lack of formal education, but this is another benefit of picking this field, as due to it being about altering objects and people, it requires a grasp of information of how things are comprised and some information on the properties of certain objects. It may seem a bit dry and dull, but the information you take from it gives you a much better understanding of how things function, as you awaken an analytical and mechanical side of your minds previously under used.

You enjoy your tutor sessions with Luna, as you tend to discuss the properties of certain materials, and the history of them, something Luna gladly talks with you. It's probably a week before you even remember that you should be trying to alter objects, and while it's slow going at first you soon pick up the ideas, able to change the shape of some clay without molding it, at first the shapes are very crude and angular, but eventually you grasp the finesse to it and are soon making small figurines of clay that resemble some of your family members.

"Very Nice Emma, you're coming along very nicely, soon we'll have you working on more solid materials, and working your way up to complex matter made up of various elements." Luna says as she stands next to you and rests a hand on your shoulder, you feel relaxed around Luna which is a good thing as you heard some of the other tutors can be a bit imposing, with Myra telling you that Rose the tutor for the elemental magic almost threw her out once for taking too long getting to grips with finer control over fire.

"Thank you Mistress Luna." You say a little uncertain of the correct formal title for her.

"Oh please, you've been studying under me for a week please just call me Luna." Luna says as she rubs your shoulder gently through your robes and giggling softly. "So tell me about Drear and your home, how do you even live without magic." Luna asks as she pulls a couple of large cushions from a bundle of cloth, the Cushions are a dark green which stand out against the large red carpet that Luna places them on, she gestures for you to sit with her, and you place down your Brass instruments which act as your Foci in shaping your material, as you are a long way off doing it free form as Luna can. You sit in the large cushion next to Luna and find that the cushion in incredibly soft, and inviting, you imagine that some additional magic might be at play here but you don't want to ignore the question Luna posed you.

"Well It's hard to say how we got by, I guess we just had to use tools and a lot more physical work to do what we needed, but we didn't really know much better, so when the portals came around, the inventions and ingenuity that came across with the people seemed like a huge advance as it was, with buildings being finished in months where it would have taken several times as many people years. The people were much like they are here, they come in all shapes and sizes, some are friendly and other will rob you blind or worse if you give them the chance. Home was nice, although my mother had to work really hard to keep our farm going, but the community around us stuck by us." You say as you begin to reminisce about your old home, and for the first time since you got here do you begin to realize how much you miss it.

"You mother worked so hard, did you loose you father at a young age?" Luna asks sounds sad, as she leans forward in the cushion as she listens to you, you notice the skirt on her white robes begin to slowly creep up her long dark legs and show off more of her increasingly inviting looking legs. You shake your head as sexual thoughts seep in about your tutor.

"Yeah, didn't really get to meet him, as I was very young when he died, but my mother worked hard, and eventually remarried, the farm was doing well and I got on well with the animals, but the new husband had a son, and he was the worst." You say as you recall all the times your step brother tried to try spy on you getting naked, and spend as much time getting as close as he can.

"I bet he was so happy to be around a girl as attractive as you." Luna says with a girlish giggle. The compliment catches you off guard and you begin to blush slightly. "So did you ever let him talk you into it?" Luna says as she leans forward again, her skirt creeps up, exposing more of her upper thigh.

"Ewwww no, he was my dimwitted step brother, sure he had muscles, but he was a total creep." You say almost sounded disgusted as you laugh with Luna.

"Shame I hear the forbidden fruit does taste better." Luna says before giggling again as you shake you head.

You spend the rest of the hour talking about your old home, and explaining the hard labor that goes into farming, due to the lack of magic, and share some of the stories of your brothers antics and teasing. You find out that Luna herself was an only child and came to the College at a young age, as her parents grew too sickly to care for her, so she came here while they traveled through the portal to find a more peaceful lifestyle outside of a bustling city. Something you hope to visit as despite making Luna's parents sick, it sounds amazing with that many people in one place. Luna is glad to hear the lands her parents left to is one where they would of happily found a place they could live out peacefully, she tells you that her mother and father was master tailors and it was their ability to turn bolts of rigid cloths and fine silks into amazing ball gowns and other fancy clothing that got her interest into the arcane art of alteration.

You enjoy the relaxing company and could spend the hours chatting away with Luna, but as you see the sun begin to begin in travels downward, you feel it's time you should go.
