Luffy and Vivi Talk Later

As Luffy continued his maid work throughout the day, the intrusive thought and jealousy that he wasn't a citizen of Alabasta and therefore make Vivi his Princess outside of just during this tenure of being her maid, kept getting to him. Whenever he had those thoughts, he worked harder and faster and would seek a maid to take on even more work.

As the day progressed in to the early evening, Luffy pushed himself too hard that he collapsed to the floor in the room he was in at the rime. Luckily, someone else saw him in his collapsed state and took him to his maid bedroom that he was staying in.

After some time, he opened up his eyes and ge saw where he was at and was confused. "Why am I here? I need to work!"

"You will do no such thing right now," said a firm and commanding voice. He turned and saw that it was Vivi looking at him with sternness and worry.

"Princess Vivi, I'm so sorry. I-"

"What happened? One of the maids saw you on the ground and I helped her take you here. She and a few other maids were saying that you kept asking for more work, that it was clear that it was too much for you, a rookie maid, to handle. You completely wore yourseslf out. Exoplain yourself, Luffy."

"It's nothing, Princess Vivi. It's something stupid."

"It's clearly not stupid due to what you did to yourself. Just please, tell me what's going on."

"It was your speech earlier, or rather at the end. When you said you loved your country and your people, I felt jealous that I wasn't a citizen of Alabasta. I tried to pudh it away, but it kept coming back throughout the day. In a few weeks or a month or so, the others will be here and I won't be your maid, but I still want you to be Princess Vivi to me. I know it makes no sense, but I can't help it."

Vivi was moved by ehat Luffy had told her that she walked straight to his bed snd gave him a big hug.

"Do not feel silly or stupid or ashamed of what you just said, Luffy. I would very much like to consider you one of my subjects and not as just my maid and friend. However, I'm not sure the World Government would approve of anything like that and since you are a pirate with an active bounty, that could cause even more uncomfortable questions aimed at us. But I can see what we can do in secret of the WG. I'll have to talk with my father about this of course since he is the king after all."

"You will, Princess Vivi? Oh thank you very much!" replied Luffy as he returned the hug in excitement.

"You're welcome, Luffy," said a chuckling Vivi. "Luckily, like you mentioned before, we have a few weeks to sort this all out by the time you leave. Now go back to sleep and if you get hungry, use a Den Den Mushi to call for someone to get you dinner."

"Ok, I will. Thank you, Princess Vivi," said Luffy with a calm smile as he drifted back to sleep.

Vivi watched Luffy for a few moments before she left Luffy's room.
