Lucy a stranded Merchant

We had spotted a broken wagon and a young woman trying to wave us down.

“Do you think it’s a trap?” Grace said grabbing her sword as she tried to get a better look.

“It doesn’t look like it.” Hera observed. “There’s no place to hide and bandits usually don’t have women as part of their gangs.”

“Shall I slow down and stop next to her?” I asked.

“Yes go ahead.” Hera nodded.

We slowed down as we got closer so we could stop as we came up to the young woman. The young woman had long blond hair in a braid to the side and a light brown shirt and white skirt. She was young and seemingly cheerful for someone who needed to be rescued. Her wagon was broken and her horse was dead.

“Thank you for stopping.” The young woman said with a look of relief.

“What’s the matter here?” Hera asked.

“My wagon broke and my horse injured. I had to put him down unfortunately.” The young woman explained. “I’ve been stranded here for two days now. Thankfully I was carrying food to sell in Lustion.”

“We’re from Lustion ourselves, heading off to Rega. We haven’t seen you in Lustion before.” Hera looked over the young woman.

“Well I’m new at doing this route. My name is Lucy Devers, my father was Randal Devers. I was hoping I could become a regular to Lustion.” The young woman introduced herself.

“Oh your Randal’s daughter!” Hera was taken aback. “I’m Mayor Hera Linz. You can just call me Hera. This is Grace Heinz and Nina Solace. I knew Mr. Devers, he used to trade goods in Lustion often. Even before I was made mayor of Lustion. He talked about you every time he visited, Miss Devers.”

“My father did like to talk about me a lot. He passed away last month unfortunately. But please just call me Lucy.” Lucy smiled.
