Lucius Malfoy (During Fourth Year)

Standing up and waving his arms jovially Dumbledore smiled and spoke, “Welcome all, especially those new today, to another year at Hogwarts.”

“As usual, the Forbidden Forest is forbidden for all students, meaning any incursions shall result in many detentions,” Dumbledore said, his glimmering eyes seeming to follow the Weasley twins.

With a dramatic sigh, Dumbledore told the students, “It is my sad duty that I must inform you all that the official Quidditch season must be canceled this year.”

“Ehat!” “How could you!" “Noooooo!”

Over the shouting and crying out of the students Dumbledore hushed them, “Now now, I understand that this can be upsetting, but there is a reason!”

Proudly proclaiming, Dumbledore said, “This year Hogwarts has the privilege to host the Tri-Wizard Tournament! Students year six and up may present their names to be selected, with the winner reciting 1,000 galleons and eternal glory!”

“Yes yes, I’m glad you are all so excited, but I have one more announcement to make,” Dumbledore said once the students' excitement dimmed.

“Mr. Malfoy, a long time member of the Board of Governors will be joining us this year as a Professor for the Magical Culture class. Please welcome Professor Malfoy,” Dumbledore said while showing where Lucius was sitting.

Standing up, Lucius gave a small proper nod of his head and asked, “Thank you Headmaster Dumbledore, I would like to say a few things, if that would be acceptable?”

Nodding his head and smiling, Dumbledore waved his hand saying, “Please, we’d be happy to hear from you Professor Malfoy.”

Giving one short nod to the headmaster, Lucius turned to the students and started talking, “Good evening everybody, I just wanted to say that I am happy to finally be teaching everyone about the wonders of Magical Culture. It is perfectly normal for me to teach Magical Culture, my time as a Lord of a magical House giving me a large amount of experience. It is also normal to do as I say, because of my experience as a Lord of a magical House. I also expect you to treat everyone with respect during my classes, because that is normal. It is normal for me to make announcements periodically through the year on important parts of Magical Culture. Thank you for your time, I look forward to seeing you in class and hope you enjoy the feast."

Standing back up, Dumbledore raised his arms saying, "And now, we feast!"
