Chapter 2 by Arthor Thomarius Arthor Thomarius

Who is our MC

Lucas Kenji, divorced 43 year old teacher.

I let out a deep sigh as I finished unloading the truck. Looking at the pile of boxes in front of me, I knew that I would have a long day ahead of me trying to make the remnants of my life fit inside of this ridiculous house.

Remnants is the operative word. In the last six months my whole world had just fallen to pieces. My wife, Ashley, the woman that I had shared my whole world with for over twenty years waited until our twins Katrina and Miranda turned eighteen to tell me that they were not mine, that she had been cheating on my with multiple guys, and she was leaving me to be in a thrupple with a pair of yoga instructors. The judge gave her everything, the house, the coin collection worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, the bitch even took Frodo, my dog.

I was a wreck. I needed a change. So I found a job as a history, civics, and social sciences teacher at Tenjoe Academy. A new city, a fresh start. Not something that I was looking for at my age.

When I saw the raffle in the realtor's office, it sounded like the most absurd thing I had ever heard. "The crazy old man put it in his will. He wanted his house and all its contents to be raffled off and the money paid to his kids. Apparently he did not want them to fight over the estate and thought that this would be more efficient. It's twenty dollars a ticket if you are interested." The young go getter real estate agent who still had all of his hair said before showing me a couple of smaller places that would have been a much, much longer commute to my new job as an educator for our country's elites.

I guess Fate decided to give me a break. My frets about finding a house ended when I won this enormous mansion in convenient biking distance to my job. As I explored the enormity of the space I realized that I would make some extra money renting the bedrooms on AirBnB or maybe get some actual roommates.

It took me awhile, but as I tried to figure out where I was going to sleep I realized that the house was genuinely bigger on the inside.

From there, things only got stranger.

What's next?
