Chapter 8
by Amagine
What do you write, and how much effort do you put into it?
Love is not important; Try Hard
Well there's the assignment. With all your determination to do well in school, you ignore the gorgeous girl next to you (just temporarily) and go all-in.
The question is funny to you. It seems as though it'd be really sad to give so much power to all the people around you, and claim that they are the ones who make your life worth living. It doesn't matter whether it's a family relationship, a friend, or sexual. There are so many things to enjoy in life and find meaning in. Why hyperfixate on how other people feel about you?
Soon, you end up in a flow state. Professor Lemburg gives you only twenty minutes to write, before she starts going off about the syllabus and class expectations, but you divert your attention between what she is saying and still writing in your comp book. You almost worry that you'll get in trouble, but she doesn't stop you. You're not sure if it's the topic that captivates you, or the writing itself.
Before long, the class is over. You look down and see that you've filled multiple pages, and that you're alone. Your neighbor must have said goodbye to you at some point, but you missed it. Oh well, you'll definitely see her again.
What's next?
College Love or Lust?
Choose Romance or Hookups Post-Lockdown
A young man returns to college after lockdown and finds more than one "student body" ready to make up for lost time. But is he only here to hook up, or will he stumble into a deeper connection?
