Chapter 7 by Amagine Amagine

How do you respond to the girl?

Mock her with Emma

"Hey," you whisper, to Emma. "Maybe she's just a fan of Sea World."

Emma raises an eyebrow, not knowing where you're going with this.

"Because she loves whale tails," you say.

"Oh god, I forgot that's what they call them," she holds back a snicker. "Only whale-like thing about her, though. As a girl, I can guarantee you that with that physique: she's all plastic and anorexia."

"Must be rough that a lot of guys like that," you say.

"Oh, yeah. Until she goes bulimic all over your dick," she says. "But that's fine for girls like that. They only keep their gag reflex because it helps them lose weight."

God, she is fucked up. You don't want to be laughing, but you are. After your chuckles you manage to say, "okay, but that's unfair to like...the ninety nine percent of girls who have their gag reflex."

"It's a lot, but not ninety-nine," Emma grins. "I'm not that special."

The succubus tattoo starts to make a little more sense. Emma looks like a goth but flirts like a seductress. Everything that she says is designed to enhance her desirability. And if you aren't careful, she'll wrap you around her finger. You almost wish that you didn't like it so much. Almost.

"Alright class, let's get started," a feminine voice says. "Everyone take a seat."

With how things have been going, you look up ready to see the hottest professor on this side of California...and are immediately disappointed. You are looking at an older overweight woman with eyes that have seen many students before and after you.

"My name is Professor Lemburg, and we're starting with a basic writeup," she says. "As a college-level professor, I have the right to build my class around whatever theme I want. I want you to think very, very hard about this topic, because we will be reading many books that have to do with it. Pull out your composition books and pencils."

You do so, wondering what she's building up to.

"Alright," she says. "Here is the question: What place does love have in a modern Capitalistic society? In which we are focused on jobs, careers, and getting ahead? To put it another way: in our modern world, how important is love?"

What do you write, and how much effort do you put into it?
