Chapter 8 by Amagine Amagine

What do you write, and how much effort do you put into it?

Love is important; Try Hard

Well there's the assignment. With all your determination to do well in school, you ignore the gorgeous girl next to you (just temporarily) and go all-in.

The question is funny to you. In our modern society, shouldn't love be the most important thing? After all, most people have soulless jobs and don't know their neighbors. You need something to give your life real meaning, and you've always naturally figured that it was friends, family, and of course romantic partners.

Soon, you end up in a flow state. Professor Lemburg gives you only twenty minutes to write, before she starts going off about the syllabus and class expectations, but you divert your attention between what she is saying and still writing in your comp book. You almost worry that you'll get in trouble, but she doesn't stop you. You're not sure if it's the topic that captivates you, or the writing itself.

Before long, the class is over. You look down and see that you've filled multiple pages, and that you're alone. Your neighbor must have said goodbye to you at some point, but you missed it. Oh well, you'll definitely see her again.

What's next?
