Chapter 8 by pablocho pablocho

What's next?

Look for the messenger [Majority vote]

As the sun shined through the window and onto your eyes you slowly began to awaken. You managed to open you eyes and tried to stretch before getting stopped by your own body. You looked down and noticed your bloated stomach as well as some redness around your crotch. You felt sore all over, especially on your lower body. Bringing your hand down to rub your crotch made a wave of intense pain and a little pleasure surge through your body. Heracles really did a number on you, but you couldn’t complain. The memories of the night made you excited, but it is already getting late and you should really get back to the palace.

It takes a while for you to get up on shaky legs. You took each step carefully as you slowly picked up your clothes and got yourself together. You managed to scoop out most of the remains of the goliath’s cum from your body and let out a sigh of relief after feeling less bloated.

Looking around you found a letter on the chair. Picking it up you smiled and rolled your eyes slightly.

“I hope you enjoyed yourself last night. It was definitely delightful to guide you through your first time. I had to step out to finish some duties with the chief so I apologize for not being there to see you off.

Please do come back again, I’m sure Dispel and Glinda would love to meet you too.”

You sigh and get up, ready to leave the building. You had managed to clean yourself, but you felt like everyone that stared at you knew about what you had done the previous night. It both made you embarrassed and excited. You were not sure if the excitement was from remembering the night or something else, but it was not the time nor place to unpack all that.

You made your way back to the palace, with the guards at the door giving you a salute and opening up for you. Walking through the hallways you began to think about the mission you were supposed to get the previous day. You had gone and taken a day off, but it still bothered you that it never got delivered. It was most likely a miscommunication, but it still didn’t sit right with you that you were not even told about the mission being cancelled.

You got back to your chambers and looked around to see if the message had been delivered, but it didn’t seem to be the case. You took a quick shower to get yourself more presentable before putting on your armor. The lack of communication was getting you nervous, but you really need to clean yourself after the night with Heracles. In the shower you thought about paying with yourself, but once again winced in pain once your fingertips reached your pussy. Asking him to be rough on your had probably not been the best idea, it seemed you’d need a little time before getting to have anymore action without any pain. You chuckled thinking that despite everything you wouldn’t change anything about the experience.

After gathering your stuff you picked up a mace and attached it to your belt. You made your way between the hallways heading toward the head messenger’s office. Reaching the place you opened the door and saw the large office filled with various shelves and barrels filled with different scrolls. A desk occupied the center of the room over which an older looking gnome was cataloguing a few different pieces of paper. As the head messenger noticed you come in he stroke his long goat tea before speaking.

“Hello there, my lady. Is there any reason to why you’re disturbing me today?” HE spoke plainly, seeming to want to get back to work.

“My apologies head messenger Duran. I was informed that yesterday I was supposed to receive a mission via one of the messengers, but none came over. I was wondering if you knew anything about that.”

“You weren’t given your message?” The gnome stopped what he was doing and stared at you intently. Opening a drawer, he took out a piece of paper and began reading through. His demeanor had gone from slightly annoyed to worried. “This makes no sense. Fern was supposed to have given you a scroll right after talking to lord Targon. It was quite explicit that both jobs were of great importance.”

“Lord Targon as in the black knight?” You had heard of him before, although you two had never officially met. He was supposedly a cavalier of great renown who was rumored to have defeated various eldritch beings before joining the king’s order.

“The very same. He’s been staying at his chambers for the last week or so. I suppose you could try to ask him for more information.” The gnome put the document back on his drawer before focusing once more on his job. “And one last thing, my lady. When you find Fern tell him to come here, we’re going to need to have a chat about his sloppy work.”

“Understood. Thank you head messenger Duran.” You gave the older gnome a light bow and stepped away form the office.

You were not eager to meet with the black knight, but there was no way around this. You sighed and began walking around, getting instructions on where he was staying from one of the maids cleaning the palace. With every step tension continued to rise within you. Fern was a messenger boy that you had know for a few years now. Sure, he was a little overexcited and sometimes came in a few minutes late, but he was reliable. If he didn’t get to you then it meant something must have happened. You shook you head trying not to think about it, but you gaze fell onto the maze on your belt.

Once you reached the large doors that indicated lord Targon’s chamber you took a deep breath. You knocked on the door a few times without getting any answers. Out of curiosity you tried the pommel and were surprised to find it to be unlocked. You debated if barging in would be a good idea or not, but you were much too worried to be careful at the moment. You would go in, if everything was in order you would leave without touching anything. If lord Targon was inside and asleep you’d simply come back later.

You had really hoped it would be one of those two possibilities, but as the door opened slowly you took a peek inside and sighed in frustration. You let the door swing open to a complete mess. The room was similar in size as yours, but that is where the similarities ended. A bookshelf had crashed onto the floor with books and crystal scattered around. The large bed was a mess, with stuffing coming out and the sheets torn to shreds. You stepped in and looked around to find a sword scattered on the ground as well as a large black helmet. A window was completely shattered and you could see a desk and chair overturned as well. You stepped around trying to find out what was going on.

As you moved around you found scroll case had been dropped on the floor near what seemed to be a bloodstain. You tentatively picked it up and looked at what was confined inside. It was a scroll with the head mage’s seal. It was the same scroll that was supposed to be given to you the day before. You broke the seal and looked at the contents carefully.

“Strange happening have been going on around the city for the last few weeks. It began as reports of a few neighbours acting strangely, but as time has gone by it appears that people have begun disappearing for days before coming back and pretending nothing happened. It possible that many things are going on from powerful beings trapping before releasing the people, to a cult trying to do something, to perhaps even a magical illness affecting the disappearing. We are quite lost for words and we do not want to cause chaos among the general public. However we need someone to start investigating what is going on. Your mission is to go to the city and look into what is going on and deal with the problem. Information on the locations where the incidents have taken place will be provided below.

  • Lysia the blue.”

You let out a low growl of frustration. You looked at the mess and shook your head while rolling up the scroll once more. You paced around the room for a while completely stunned on what you were supposed to do now. There were at least two major problems going on at the same time. Firstly you had whatever had gone on with this room. If something was able to take out the fabled black knight then it needed to be looked into. Secondly, the reports that were mentioned on the mission.

You gritted your teeth thinking about it before taking a deep breath. One problem at a time, you’d let someone know about the other and hopefully someone else would look into it.

Should you

Look into the disappearances?

Look around the room more?

or

Go and talk with Lysia directly?

What should you do?
