Look at the Signs around the market

Having decided that investigation is the key to understanding her situation Maria begins wandering the market reading the signs. It might not provide her the keys to returning home but it might have answers to some of her other questions.

Of the signs that Maria encountered a handful stood out.

The first sign that caught Maria's attention was a hiring sign put outside a large tent, based off the evidence it seemed to be some type of circus looking for people to clean up and sell food after and during the show. While it wouldn't provide Maria any clue how to return home it might provide her the money and safety necessary to survive in the world. Depending on whether the circus (or whatever else it might be in this strange world) traveled she might be able to gain more information about how to return home.

The second eye-catching sign was a poster painted in different hues dancing between reds and violets with big gold lettering reading, JOIN THE LIGHT OF EROS. SERVE PEACE AND LOVE. In the center of the page was a figure wrapped in a dark crimson cloak, beyond that no details defining them were visible. While unclear it seemed like another job opportunity, perhaps in whatever this world's equivalent to law enforcement was. The opportunity to access whatever passed for governance in this world as a source of information and a way home certainly wasn't unappealing.

Sign three wasn't anywhere near as bold or striking as the other signs, instead it was a small wooden road sign that sat at the entryway to one of the cobble roads branching away from the main market. The little wooden sign's faded lettering read Venus Public Archives. It was hardly as exciting or adventurous as the past two signs, but if anywhere might have knowledge about travel between worlds an archive seemed a good location to check.

Another road sign provided yet more options, this one brighter and more well refined Ishtar Mage Academy. Maria had to admit even beyond the interest of getting home learning magic seemed like a a good use of time, especially if it was common in this strange world, though she noted that there was no statement as to whether the academy was public or private, and given that it might require tuition.

Maria still had other options beyond those four, of course, and if she thought longer another option might become more obvious to her.
