Locked Out

Before Kate could react, the blonde woman had leapt forward and slammed a handcuff onto her right wrist. She gasped, trying to pull it off, but it locked down tight. The Russian assassin smiled. "Follow me, if you please?"

Kate tried to fight back, but was helpless against this woman. She dragged her out her apartment door and onto the alley behind the building. Quickly making her way over, she slammed the other cuff onto the water meter, securing it tight. "There we go," her captor remarked, "nice and tight. These cuffs are some of the most secure in the world. On the off chance that you do break free, I'll have killed Clint by then. If not, I'll come back to free you once I'm done."

Kate shivered, yanking against her chain. "You're really going to leave me here like this? Seriously?"

The woman smiled. "It won't be long, I work fast. Merry Christmas, Kate Bishop."

With that, the Russian woman exited just as mysteriously as she arrived, running off into the wintery streets of New York City. And just like that, Kate was trapped outside in the snow wearing nothing but a towel. The metal was cold on her wrist, only adding to her discomfort as frost gathered on her exposed skin. She continued yanking violently against the chain, but to no avail.
