Liv discovers the hidden passageway

Most normal people would have been trapped in that room, with no chance of escape. Indeed, most moderately experienced adventurers would have had little to no chance of escaping. Luckily, Liv was exceptional, her eyes trained to spot moving targets at an **** distance. She may have been without her gear, but she certainly still had her eyes.

She looked closely at the shimmering wall. It was completely stationary now, of course, but Liv had seen its movements, enough to suspect that some sort of foul play was at work. When she realized the door had been shut, and most likely locked, behind her, Liv realized that figuring out how her prey had escaped might be her only option.

Thinking forward, she grabbed a frying pan from one of the shelves. It wasn't much, but it would probably be better than being empty handed. With that at the ready, she began prodding the wall, looking for irregular stones or anything that had any sort of give. She found nothing along its immediate surface, but knew there had to be a trigger here somewhere.

Unfortunately, Liv was running low on time. Surely whoever had trapped her here didn't intend to simply wait around forever, they would most like be coming to collect her before long. To buy herself more time, she picked up a chair getting ready to bring it over to the door when her keen eyes caught something. One of the legs of the bottom most chair was irregular. Liv pulled, twisted, and generally fiddled with it until it finally popped inward.

With that, the wall she had been examining fell away, just as she had hoped. Not wanting to stick around, Liv pushed the chair up beneath the door before hurrying off into the dark secret tunnel, frying pan at the ready.
