Liv Becomes separated from the others

The shot rang out, the loudness dampened slightly by the modified rifle barrel, but still loud enough to be heard over the battle cries and screams of pain that filled the caravan turned battlefield. Liv hurried forward, grabbing the flap of the wagon to swing it back shut. Her position wasn't ideal, if she was too reckless with her shots, it would be easy for the Lizardfolk to close in on her.

Liv's hand found the piece of fabric that made a caravan door, and was about to tug it shut when she felt a chill run down her spine. Looking up, Liv found herself meeting the eyes of what seemed to be the Lizardfolk chieftain. The chieftan stood head and shoulders above his minions, daubed all over with warpaint that shimmers with faint magic and wielding a dwarf-made battleaxe, likely stolen from one of the earlier caravans.

The chieftain seemed to recognize the threat Liv and her rifle posed, as he pointed at her, leading two spear wielding guards toward her cart.

Fuu and Emmaline found themselves pushed together, the remaining vanguard rallying around them in a defensive ring around the front-most caravan. Robin and the rearguard were quickly making their way to join them as well, though, while the Bravos were faring pretty well against their opponents, the guards around them were having a much harder time. For each Lizardfolk killed, one or two guards went down with them, and as the Lizardfolk had outnumbered them from the outset, the odds of winning were shrinking by the second.
