Lisa breaks the rules.

Once outside, Lisa turned to Beth.

"Stay clear of me, Beth!" Lisa instructed. "No matter what happens."

Beth nodded and moved away from Lisa. Lisa moved the opposite direction. She quickly found herself a spot obscurred from any observers in the Laughing Man saloon, and out of the eyelines of Delvers and the other armed Lynchers, but with a clear field of fire to each.

The bald spectacled Lyncher stood off to one side. He had an empty bottle in his hand.

"Rules are simple." he called out. "Wait for the bottle to break before you draw. Anyone drawing before that gets cut down."

As the bald spectacled Lyncher went over the rules Lisa observed those facing Delvers. She reasoned that only Billy was eager for this fight, perhaps to eager.

After he had explained the rules, the bald spectacled Lyncher looked at each loser to ensure they understood. Lisa slowly and carefully drew her colt and pulled back the hammer.

"Make yourselves ready." called the bald spectacled Lyncher.

Lisa took aim at John Delvers. Delvers gave a slight nod of his head and the bald spectacled Lyncher threw the bottle high into the air.

With all eyes on either the gunfighters or the bottle, Lisa fired fired a single shot, killing John Delvers instantly.
