Lisa's night begins

Lisa gave herself a mental pat on the back when she retrieved a small bag that contained spare clothes and some makeup. She had left it in the car for any emergencies, and there was an emergency today.

After she had changed in the car from her scrubs to a pair of jeans that she was surprised still fit, and an off-the-shoulder top that her mother always complained was too short. She brushed her hair and slicked it back with some gel, allowing front pieces to fall and frame her face. Some pink lipgloss and a generous spritz of perfume later, Lisa was ready for the little party.

The bar was nameless and looked a little deadbeat from across the street where she parked, and Lisa was almost sure that she was at the wrong place, even though she was at the exact address that John sent her. She quickly texted him to let him know she had arrived, and say in her car until he responded, telling her to cross the road and meet him in front of the bar.

His eyes seemed to bulge out of his socket when he saw her in her figure-hugging jeans and a nice top. He showered her with compliments, almost completely eliminating her anxiety.

"The others are inside," he informed her, taking her hand and leading her inside the bar. The place looked far from deadbeat inside, with neon lights decorating the entire place in pink, purple, blue and green. People say in clusters around, but the group from the hospital was the biggest, as well as the loudest.

"Lisa, you made it!" Jess cheered drunkenly, her lipstick smeared around her mouth. She was straddling Luke and had her hands in his hair while he just smiled sheepishly, probably also buzzed.

"I did." Lisa smiled back, hugging her arms. For a few minutes, John disappeared and she was left alone with her coworkers, most of who were already making out passionately with each other, almost fucking themselves with their clothes on. She looked away uncomfortably, starting a conversation with someone she had only seen once since starting her job at the hospital three months ago.

"Hey, here's some **** to help with your nerves." John slid into the seat beside a very quiet Lisa.
