Liqueur loosens Mary's tongue.

Mary lowered her gaze to stare at the table. "I don't know."

John reached over and took her by the hand. "We both know that's not true."

Trying to hold back tears Mary looked up at John. She thought for a moment and decided on the story she would tell. Just as she opened her mouth to begin the waitress returned with two cups and a bottle of saké.

"What exactly did you order John?" Mary asked.

"Saké it's Japanese rice wine. It's very good and very potent." John replied as he poured both of them a drink.

"I don't know if I should. I'm not even legal to drink yet." Mary nervously said as she spied around the sparsely populated restaurant as though she were expecting the police to jump out and arrest her as soon the liqueur touched her lips.

John laughed. "Don't worry. It's Tomorrow Con. There is so much underage drinking down here that no one even checks I.D.'s."

Mary stared at her cup for a moment. What the hell. This is what I came for after all. She thought as she turned up the contents and swallowed it all in one gulp.

Mary squinted as the harsh saké burned her throat as she drank it. Mary opened her eyes to see a look of surprise and delight on John's face. "I'll have another sir." She said holding her glass forward.

John refilled her's and took his cup and held it aloft. "May all our desires come true at Tomorrow Con." The two friends clinked their cups together in a toast then quickly downed their contents.

"So, back to my question," John started as he refilled both their cups. "Why did you kiss me?"

Mary had downed her third glass of saké before she began to answer. "I was just being silly."

John refilled Mary's glass once more. "And were you just being silly while you fondled my sleeping sister."

All the color drained from Mary's face. "You saw?"

John drank his cup of saké before responded. "Yeah, I saw my sister laying in your lap with her tits completely out in the open."

"Well, I did cover them," Mary stated as she stared at the contents of her cup.

"True but that leads me to believe there was something more behind you kissing the brother of girl you had just groped," John stated as he stared intently at Mary.

Mary sighed. "Ok, the truth is I thought I might have seen you spying on me. I decided if I kissed you it would embarrass you if you had been spying and if you hadn't, I would make the kiss a simple, playful peck on the lips and no harm would come of it. Instead, you full on passionately kissed me. And might I add you are an excellent kisser." Mary then sipped some more saké before continuing. "Seriously if you kiss any girl like that and you're going to make her swoon. I did get nervous though when you tried to shove your tongue in my mouth. That is not a gentlemanly thing to do you know."

After Mary had finished she looked up into John's beautiful blue eyes. Her eyes slightly moist as she fought to keep the tears from falling freely. John took her cup away. "Thanks for the truth. Though I think you've had enough **** for now. I don't want to explain to Susan how you came to be hammered."

Then just as their sushi arrived John looked at Mary and said. "Susan can't hold her liqueur. Tonight, at the Whirlwind she'll drink a bit, and when we get back to the room, she'll fall fast asleep. If you want, we can continue where we left off then."
