What happened to Hailey?
Lily and Hank discover their new almost identical bodies
Craig
The world felt monochrome after the final burst of green light from behind the bathroom door faded. Craig had the same unsettling feeling he had on the beach: the world had changed. The room was now bathed only in the light of flickering candles.
“Hailey? Everything okay in there?” He called out before immediately regretting it. Of course something happened, you dork. But it’s not like I can just burst in on a girl in her own bathroom. He suddenly felt exposed, alone in a girl’s room, dressed only in boxers. He leaned forward on the edge of the bed, wanting to get up but not sure what the next step would be, when the bathroom door handle turned.

Hailey staggered out, leaning on the doorknob to keep her balance. She would have been dressed to make a devastating impact in her lacy black lingerie but her face told a different story. On the side unobscured by her hanging hair, her makeup was streaked with tears. Her expression revealed a storm of emotions: triumph, pain, and need all flashed by in succession.
“Craig.” She croaked, hardly able to get the word out. The woman awkwardly lunged forward before launching herself at him.

Craig reflexively flinched and raised his arms. A moment later, he heard the thud of a body hitting the wall behind him before falling onto the bed.
“Effing heck! My nose!”
The pieces all fell into place then. Her slumped posture, subtly concealing her body. The easel back in its corner.
“Lily.” There was no question, Craig knew it even before seeing her two brown eyes. He sighed with relief, letting out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
“Owwie!” Lily moaned pitifully. Her hand was pressed against her nose to stop a trickle of blood. Craig scooted over in the bed as she sat up.
“What happened in there?” Craig prompted carefully.
“I did it! You’d be proud of me. Hailey and Hank, they were going to - to trap you, but I didn’t let them. I fought for us, and I broke out. You showed me how, I was watching the whole time from inside Hailey, and I saw how much you fought for us.”
Craig kept smiling as she talked, trying to take it all in and keep the guilt off his face.
“She was so … forward, but I saw you stay true to me, to us. You held her off long enough for me to escape,” Lily continued. “I saw you and jumped for you, but what happened after that? How did you get so far under me? It feels like we haven’t talked in forever, I could hear you but Hailey was driving until the very end and …”
Craig stood and took Lily by the hand, silently leading her to the full length mirror against the wall as she continued talking. “… never drove a motorcycle before and I never liked mint ice cream before. Are we going somewhere? Do you have a surprise for me? You know I love sur - Hailey?”
Lily locked eyes with her reflection for a moment, shocked, before realizing the truth. “Oh! Is that? But I thought I’d …” She inched hesitantly toward the mirror while her eyes darted back and forth. Her arms had instinctively crossed over her chest protectively, but only ended up enhancing her cleavage by pushing her breasts up and together. She marveled, looking back and forth between her own boobs and those in the mirror, a look of disbelief on her face.
“Is this real?” She whispered.

Craig cautiously put a reassuring hand on her back. “It’ll be okay, Lily. This must be a lot to take in. It can’t be easy to be in a new body…”
“Are you kidding me? You mean I get to stay like this?” Her face broke out into a broad grin as the realization set in. “I’m so tall!” Lily bounced up on her toes to look down at Craig. “And so strong! And so curvy! This solves everything!”
“Everything?”
“I don’t have to be ashamed of being a twig. I don’t have to worry about being treated like a little girl.” Lily couldn’t contain her excitement and bounced up and down, now covering her mouth. She grinned, catching his eyes following the movement of her tits as she bounced. “I saw how hot Hailey was. I don’t blame you for the way you looked at her, I probably would too. But I don’t have to be jealous because now you can look at me!”
To emphasize, Lily put her arms behind her back to thrust out her chest. As much as she boasted, she couldn’t keep the blush from her face and her eyes still darted to the side. “I don’t have to hide anymore,” she whispered softly.
“You definitely don’t have anything to be ashamed of.” Craig said, her excitement infectious. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before, but you’re beautiful and I love you.”
“Awwww!” Lily blinked away tears and embraced Craig in a gentle hug. “I am beautiful now. And I love you too.” She kissed him, a tender touch on the lips before pressing her forehead to his. “The necklace, Hailey, this body. This couldn’t have ended better. This is perfect.”
“Easy for you to say,” growled the figure in the doorway.
Hank
Hank woke to the sensation of a cool tile floor on his face. He wished he hadn’t woken at all.
He had tried to hold on but failed. He lost, and to Lily of all people. She wanted it more. He had fought to stay together, stay Hailey, stay not-himself. Now he was alone again in his own head.

Hank knew instinctively what had happened. Long, black hair obscuring his vision. A weight pulled down on his chest. Still, he needed to see for himself.
He had expected to see Hailey in the mirror. He hadn’t expected the longing, the sense of loss. His hand traced the curve of a cheek that was now his. Objectively, he was beautiful, but the vitality that had filled Hailey was gone. Only a hollow pair of green eyes looked back.
As Hank’s hands cupped his tits, he reflected that before, he would have had his hands all over this body. Now, maybe he had nothing more to prove. He’d expected the sensation to be alien, he wanted to believe having soft, yielding flesh felt wrong. Instead it was - nice?
I don’t have to be Hank anymore, he realized. Hailey’s gone but maybe I can be her.
A feminine moan escaped his lips as he squeezed harder. He backed up to see more of his lingerie-clad body and imagined strong hands exploring his curves. He felt warmth grow between his legs, a soft heat new to him but also a rising firmness he never expected to experience again.
In the mirror, Hank saw a familiar bulge inexplicably straining against the confines of his silky panties. The sensation of the smooth fabric against his cock added to the sweet feeling of hands on his breasts drove his pleasure upwards and threatened to overwhelm him.
Hank's hands flew to the sink, his fingers gripping like a life raft in a storm. No, this is too much, he thought. I can’t feel both, I can’t be both. Why does it feel so fucking good?
Hank’s mind was racing now. Without Hailey, he needed someone to tell him who to be, what to be. His ears picked up voices in the bedroom. Lily. Craig. He needed to be fixed, made whole again. He fought his still aroused body and staggered toward the door.
“...necklace, Hailey, this body. This couldn’t have ended better. This is perfect.” An shadow of his old anger rose in outrage.
“Easy for you to say. ‘This is perfect,’” Hank sneered, his new voice eerily similar to Lily's.
“I didn’t ask for this. You did this to me. You need to fucking fix it!” He tried drawing on the rage that had always served him but knew he was undercut by the lacy bra and panties he wore.

“Hank, is that you?” Lily asked softly. After being so loud in Hailey’s head, it was strange to hear she had reverted back to her old, timid cadence.
“I don’t know anymore. How can I be a ‘Hank’ with a body like this?” He gestured to himself in all his feminine glory. “Craig, you can fix this. Lily said you could.”
Craig looked surprised to hear Hank use his real name. His brow furrowed as he replied, “Why would I want to help you?”
Hank beheld Craig, as though for the first time. His already aroused body reacted instinctively to the sight of his shirtless chest, his lean body. His nipples stiffened at the thought of Craig’s soft fingers on them. Could this work? He wondered.
“I … I could be Hailey for you,” Hank offered, swallowing his pride. “If you work on fixing the necklace, I’ll let you use me however you want.” The blush on his face did nothing to calm the heat in his body.
“You can finally get your **** on me.” His breath quickened and his heart raced in anticipation. “Slap me. Spank me. **** me. You’d never hurt Lily, but I know you’d love to get some aggression out on me. Finally show me who’s the bigger man.”
Hank held his breath, waiting for a response. Somehow, a glimmer of hope blossomed as he searched Craig’s face. He looked confused, conflicted, not disgusted. _He’s actually considering it. _But then Craig looked to Lily, and when his face turned back to Hank, it was cold.
“Be with you?” Craig scoffed. “So you can call me a homophobic slur?”
Hank winced, recognizing that was something he would have done without a second thought.
“You’re not Hailey. Lily told me you were trying to manipulate me," Craig continued, his voice hardening. “Maybe hurting someone sounds appealing to you, but that’s not what I want.”
“Craig’s not that kind of guy,” Lily reinforced, holding his hand in support.
Hank deflated. Fucked it up again. Typical. He looked down at his masculine rod, still pressing insistently against his panties. Why did I think I could be anything else but Hank?.
“Fine, have it your way.” Hank slipped on his old persona like a cloak. His back straightened and his pelvis thrust out. The wild grin he used to mask his pain did not reach his eyes. “If you only see Hank when you see me, I guess I have to be Hank.” The cloak no longer fit, but it was still reassuring; he wouldn’t let them hurt him.
“Look at how hot we are,” Hank said, turning his attention to Lily, still looking stunning in an identical set of underwear. “You can do better than this loser, now.”
Lily blushed and looked away while Craig’s look darkened. That’s right. Don’t pity me, I’m in control.
“I know what it’s like in Hailey’s body, how bad you want to be fucked right now,” Hank continued. “But there’s no way this pussy can give you what you need. I’ve fucked dozens of chicks and left them all creaming and screaming.” He started stalking slowly toward her.
“Even in a chick’s body, I’m more of a man than him. These could be the abs pounding you into your mattress,” he said, flexing. “I bet my dick is still bigger than his, too.” He caught her stealing a glance down at his package and rewarded her with a twitch.
“We were together, inside Hailey.” His voice softened now, almost to a whisper. “I felt your mind, your soul, and I know you felt me, too. That’s something you could never have with him.” He stood before her now, his green eyes searching her brown ones. His final words came out as a plea. “Pick me.”
Lily’s breath caught and her eyebrows furrowed as she searched for the right words. After a moment, she shrugged off her usual timidity and straightened her back to look Hank in the eyes.
“You’re right about one thing, we shared something special together. It was magical and earth-shattering and I’m not the same person I was before.” Lily placed a hand on her chest. “I honestly hope you aren’t either. We’re both in new bodies and we’re going to have to figure out new lives. I want your support. There’s so much we both have to learn and explore.”
Hank clung to the idea: being with Lily, both exploring their new bodies. His mind’s eye flashed with images of them writhing together in bed. Nearly identical bodies bringing each other to ever higher levels of pleasure.
“You must be feeling so lost right now. You want something comforting, something familiar. But…”
‘But.’ There it is. Now for her to let me down gently.
“…when I choose to be with someone, it has to be someone I love. And I love Craig. It’s always been him.” As she spoke, her eyes filled with admiration and longing for Craig. It cut Hank like a knife.
The bravado, it was supposed to protect him from this. But now it was crumbling. Staggering back to the safety of the bathroom, he heard Lily call out something behind him but it was blotted out by the slam of the door. Inside, he hurriedly pulled on the discarded jacket and jean shorts and collected his bike keys. He avoided the mirror but paused for a moment when confronted with the now forgotten condom. He sighed. It never would have worked.
He rushed to the hallway door and took one last look. Craig and Lily were holding each other, their soft voices interrupted by his hasty exit.
“You shouldn’t be alone right now,” Lily pleaded. “I want to help.”
Hank can’t be helped, he thought bitterly. He wanted to lash out, to tell them they’d regret this, but he couldn’t trust his voice to make the words without cracking.
Hank fled into the night before the mask could shatter completely.
